Gallen has a 0.95 ERA and 0.706 WHIP in 5 starts. He'll be facing a Cubs team that is averaging just 3.3 runs/game over their last 7, hitting just .217 as team during this stretch. I'll take my chances with the Diamondbacks as a -150 home favorite against the Cubs. Arizona is playing really good baseball right now. Dbacks are 12-4 over their last 16 games. It's the exact opposite for Chicago, who is just 5-12 over their last 17.
How do you not put a little money on Arizona here with Zac Gallen on the mound. Gallen has a miniscule 0.95 ERA and 0.706 WHIP in 5 starts. He's only given up 1 run in 18 innings over 3 home starts this season.
Cubs will have Kyle Hendricks on the mound. Yes, he pitched great in his last outing at the Padres, but he's 2-3 with a 4.38 ERA and 1.256 WHIP in 7 starts. He's got a much worse 6.48 ERA and 1.440 WHIP in 3 road starts. Give me the Diamondbacks -150!

Even beating the Rockies, 14-10, last night the Royals still only rank 27th in runs and 29th in homers. I give the Rockies a bigger edge than this mid-size line indicates to even their series at home against Kansas City.
The pitching matchup is Carlos Hernandez against German Marquez.
Hernandez may be losing his spot in the rotation if he keeps pitching so poorly. He has a 7.15 ERA. I don't see him getting things turned around at Coors Field. The Rockies are averaging 6.5 runs in their last 13 home games.
The Royals have lost 11 of their last 16 road games.
Marquez made the All-Star team last year. He's off to a disappointing start, but logged a quality start this past Sunday against the Diamondbacks holding them to three runs in six innings. He knows how to pitch at Coors Field, something Hernandez lacks.
