The NL Central is currently a two-horse race. The Milwaukee Brewers have a 1.5 game lead over the St. Louis Cardinals. Milwaukee has had a tough time in their current series with San Diego dropping their last two games. St. Louis knows with the win here and Milwaukee loss today they can get even closer to owning the top-spot in the division. And what better opponent to face to better their position than the Chicago Cubs. My friends, there was a time Chicago was a powerhouse in Wrigley Field. However, those times have passed. They are just 11-19 at home on the season. And in all respects to Cubs fans, this team is going to be lucky if they can finish fourth in the Central this season. While their hitting has been decent, their pitching has been absolutely deplorable. Their staff owns a Team ERA of 4.35 and ranks 29th in Quality Starts. Today one of the most consistent and durable pitchers in the National League will take the mound for the Cardinals. Adam Wainwright possesses a 5-4 record on the campaign with a 2.75 ERA. The veteran has a real chance at reaching 200 wins over his career this season (189-109). The team has won five of his last six starts. As a matter of fact, the funny thing is as the season is progressing, this crafty pitcher seems to be getting better. On the other hand, Cubs scheduled starter, Justin Steele has struggled this season. He is just 1-5 with a whopping ERA of 5.40. The team has lost six of his last eight starts. And he comes off two of his poorest performances yet in 2022. The Cardinals are 7-2 the last nine meetings in Chicago, 12-2 the last 14 road games versus left-handed starters, and 26-11 the last 37 versus the National League Central. Take St. Louis. Thank you.

It looks like Orozco had to become familiar with this gelding on May 7th when riding him for the initial time. Back aloft again today. FANTASTIC DREAM - I unquestionably see favorable signs for this noble animal right here. DICK BEST - This gelding looks like a natural router, based on efforts in last 2 sprint races. It looks like Roman had to learn about this gelding on May 15th when riding him for the initial time. Back on board again today. The jock and conditioner combination have a favorable ROI when they partner up. HOLIDAY AROUSAL - This horse coming off a nice race in the last month is a win candidate in my book. Outran his odds in his initial start. Look for another strong effort today. After the race aboard this horse on May 15th, the jockey is going to be acquainted with the gelding much better. Already competed against today's M/L favorite on May 15th at Golden Gate Fields and finished ahead of that one. Have to believe he can do it again in this race.
