GLASS CEILING has been on the sidelines since early April. She has been working well for her return and is a head from winning six in a row, OBLIGATORY looks tons better than EASY TO BLESS, but she will likely need to be a lot closer to the front than normal to have any chance to win.

ABAAN has four wins and three seconds in nine races on turf. He will try to take them from gate to wire. LOFT makes his US debut after winning a Group 2 race at 2 miles in Germany. OUTBOX has the top pedigree scores for the distance and surface. He run ins some solid races versus some top company in England and does not see a lot of that here.

JACKIES WARRIOR is the class of the filed with as many triple digit speed figures and the rest of the field combined. BABY YODA ran much faster times in his last outing and could get an ideal trip. NIGHT TIME looks like hs could be sitting on a career best effort in this spot. Expect him to move forward in the second start following a long layoff.

COMMENTS: ROUGIR finally tackled firm turf in her last. This horse is expected to win big races because they paid nearly $3.4 million for her. She lived up to the price tag in her last and will try fo do so again here. There is not much to say about BLEEKER STREET beyond the fact that he is undefeated in six career starts. VIRGINIA JOY is a neck away from winning three in a row and four of her last five race. She is another pricey horse, selling for more than $1.14 million. FLIGHTY LADY is making her second start after a layoff, a 29% winning angle for trainer Chad Brown.

COMMENTS: CARAVEL has the best early and late pace combination in the field. She should sit right behind the leaders and try to run on to the wire in the stretch. ILLEGAL SMILE is another that should challenge for the lead and pairs it up with the top late pace numbers. NEVISIAN SUNRISE is steadily improving from race to race. This will be her biggest challenge but tends to run well following some rest, like today. JOUSTER is probably the most consistent horse in the field and has a high floor but is the only horse to post a triple-digit speed number in her last 10 outings. .

1st race – (6) Tachlis (D) was bet down from 3-1 to 2-1 and then chased in second before fading. Drops in class and adds blinkers here and should prove best in this field. (3) Oaxaca was third last time and should be a threat while facing tougher rivals. (2) Days Remembered may prefer dirt. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-3-6. Doubles: 2-3-6 with 1-3-4-6. Pick 3: 2-3-6 with 1-3-4-6 with 1-3-5-6.
2nd race – (6) American Hero returns to a claimer and can perk up in this field. (1) Gingrich will appreciate some class relief in a claimer. (4) Ready Pursuit might run better here on turf. (3) Brit’s Wit should not be ignored in this field. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-2-4-6. Doubles: 1-3-4-6 with 1-3-5-6.
3rd race – (5) Holiday Decision debuts for Amoss and appears poised to start her career on a winning note. (3) Empire of My Own tired and finished third in her debut. Looks like the main rival. (1) Free Drop Maddy merits some attention in this group. (6) Naughty Gal debuts for Lukas and can make her presence felt. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-3-5-6.
6th race – (7) Gulfport starts his career with Asmussen and seems poised for a big effort. (2) Mataro showed some speed in a recent gate work and deserves some attention. (5) Easy Big Boy should benefit from his debut and will be closer this time. (6) Reiquist could have some talent and is worth a look. Betting strategy: 7 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5-6-7.
8th race – (6) Sister Annie drops into a claimer and should prove best. (7) Tiltingatwindmills should be a prime threat in the final furlong. (1) Dance Rhythms will benefit from a rail trip. (8) Gianna’s Gift figures to be more competitive in a turf claimer. Betting strategy: 6 to win, place. Exacta box: 1-6-7-8.

4^th race [Alw 92000 N1X, 6F] – (3) Perfect Munnings (D) was last seen in October for Todd Pletcher in a similar spot where he was bet down from 9-2 to 5-2 and finished fourth. This NY-bred won his way through state-bred conditions, ran in stakes, and returns in open company. (2) Prisoner is unbeaten in three starts with his debut in 2020 and more recently two starts at Aqueduct during the late winter by a combined 13 lengths. Trainer Charlie Baker claimed him for $25,000 after start number two. (1) Scilly Cay used up his NY-bred conditions also and now moves to the barn of Chad Brown after almost a year off from racing. (6) Reggae Music Man will move to open company after a third against NY-breds in a strong stakes race against Ny Traffic.
7^th race [Alw 92000 N1X, 6F] – (1) Jane Grey (A) was a debut winner for Bill Mott and Godolphin back in 2020 in Saratoga at odds of 6-1. Mott does not win with firsters on the dirt very often. (6) Speaks for Itself won her first career race for Chad Brown by more than five lengths after being geared down from a very big lead. (4) Mischievous Diane broke her maiden in her third start last year and was second to graded stakes winner Kathleen O. by a head before that. (5) Baba was claimed for $20,000 by Rudy Rodriguez and then came back to win a starter allowance by five lengths. She has five career victories as she moves up to this allowance level.
8^th race [Belmont Gold Cup (G2), 2 mi TURF] – (1) Loft won a Group 2 race in Germany at this distance last month in his first start of the year. (2) Abaan won the two-mile Allen Jerkens at Gulfstream Park in December and we do not have many long-distance races like that in America so we know that he can handle it. He runs on the lead and faced graded stakes company since that victory for Pletcher. (4) Outbox faced Group stakes in England in his last two starts. He is a winner of a Group 1 in the Middle East. (3) British Royalty was second in his 2022 debut in an allowance at Keeneland. He is a past stakes winner at Woodbine.
