MLB | Brewers vs Nationals
Play on: Brewers -118 at BetVegas
Sunday MLB Free play. My selection is on Milwaukee over Washington at 1:35 pm et on Sunday.
The Brewers can't get out of their own way right now, coming off another ugly 8-6 loss yesterday. They'll look to finally snap their losing skid and salvage the finale of this series against the Nationals on Sunday and I look for them to do just that. Jason Alexander will get the call for Milwaukee. He's been fine in his first two big league starts - both resulting in one-run losses. Here, I look for him to get a little more support from the Brewers bats as they look to tee off on Paolo Espino, who will be making his first start since last season. The Nationals check in a miserable 2-9 in his last 11 trips to the hill. Note that despite winning the first two games of this series, Washington is still a woeful 14-43 in its last 57 games as a home underdog, outscored by an average margin of 2.0 runs along the way. Take Milwaukee.

MLB | Blue Jays vs Tigers
Play on: Blue Jays -129 at SC Consensus
1 Unit FREE PLAY on Toronto Blue Jays -129
The Toronto Blue Jays are 12-4 in their last 16 games overall. They haven't lost two in a row since May 22-23 and are 7-1 in their last eight games following a loss. We are getting them pretty cheap here against the lowly Detroit Tigers after losing to them yesterday. Ross Stripling has a 3.46 ERA and 0.96 WHIP in six starts this season for the Blue Jays. Toronto is 6-2 in its last eight meetings in Detroit. Give me the Blue Jays.

Play on: Tigers +114 at William Hill
Play - Detroit Tigers w/Skubal (Game 966).
Edges - Tigers: Skubal 5-2 with 1.60 ERA and 0.80 WHIP last seven starts; and 6-1 career starts in June … With Skubal in strong KW form with 20 Ks and 2 BBs in his last three starts, we recommend a 1* play on Detroit. Thank you and good luck as always.

MLB | Rangers vs White Sox
Play on: White Sox -152 at linepros
Sunday's Free MLB Pick: Chicago White Sox -152
Sunday's Free MLB Pick is on the Chicago White Sox as a -152 home favorite against the Texas Rangers. I got no problem laying this with Chicago. The White Sox are sending out their best starter in Michael Kopech. He's putting up Cy Young type numbers with a 1.94 ERA and 0.941 WHIP in 10 starts. The Rangers are giving the rock to Jon Gray. He's 1-3 with a 5.28 ERA and 1.304 WHIP in 9 starts. Last two road starts, he's given up 10 runs on 11 hits with 7 BBs in 11 innings of work. Bet the White Sox -152!

MLB | Rangers vs White Sox
Play on: White Sox -140 at Caesars
My free play is on the Chi White Sox at 2:10 ET.
The Rangers appeared in back-to-back World Series in 2010 and 2011 (lost both) but continued to be competitive, making the playoffs in THREE of the next five seasons. However, it's been FIVE consecutive losing seasons for Texas since 2017. The Rangers were just 60-102 (.370) in 2021 but have played better this season (27-31, .466). Texas lost 8-3 on Friday but rallied from down 5-0 after four innings last night, winning 11-9 in innings. The White Sox ended an 11-year postseason drought in 2020 with a wild card appearance. They then ran away with the American League Central title last season with a 93-69 record, winning the division by 13 games over Cleveland. However, it's been a disappointing season so far for the team favored to win its division in 2022, as the White Sox have been hovering around .500 the last month. Chicago is currently 27-30. As the Rangers were taking their insurmountable lead in the 10th (scored FOUR times), a vocal group of White Sox fans, likely frustrated by Texas' comeback and Chicago's lackluster production through the first third of the season, began to chant "Fire Tony," in reference to manager Tony La Russa. "I appreciate they want us to win, and when we don't win, they're unhappy," La Russa said afterward. "There isn't anything that's happening with this team that in the end, I'm not responsible for. Never dodged accountability, and I won't start now."
The Rangers will send Jon Gray (1-3, 5.28 ERA) to the mound, while the White Sox counter with Michael Kopech (2-2, 1.94 ERA). Gray won 43 games in a four-year span from 2016-2019 for Colorado but then went 10-16 with a 5.03 ERA in 2020 and 2021, Still, the Rangers signed him to a four-year, $56 million contract prior to the start of 2022. He's been limited to nine starts because of nagging injuries (team is 3-6) and is CLEARLY underachieving. Making matters worse, is that his ERA in seven road starts is 5.94. Kopech pitched mostly out of the bullpen last season (just four starts in 44 appearances) but has made the move to being a regular in the rotation here in 2022. This marks his 11th start and his 1-2 record (White Sox 5-5) belies how well he's pitched. Not only does he own an excellent ERA (see above), but his WHIP is 0.94 plus opponents have batted only a miniscule .139 against him.
Let's see if the White Sox can "Win one for Tony!"
Good luck...Larry
