#9 Grape Nuts Warrior returns today off of a layoff; however, Chad Brown will have him ready to run. The last time we saw this horse he won a similar race to this one at Aqueduct. #2 Saratoga Flash will look to make it two in a row after an impressive victory over this track last time out.

Race 8: Claiming

#1 Money in the Bank goes for two straight wins today after winning a similar race to this one last time out. He usually shows up with a solid effort. #5 Alcools also goes for his second straight win today, while running first off of the claim for Linda Rice, which is usually a good thing.

Race 9: New York Stallion Stakes

#11 Robyn and Eli is still a maiden; however, she was defeated by some nice horses last season. Look for her to show up with a big effort in this spot for Brown. #9 Silken Dollar was a winner in her turf debut last time out, winning by a nose over this track and at this distance. She will move forward off of that effort.

#7 Brennans War came within a length of winning at this class level and distance over this track last time out. #2 Relate will move over to the dirt today, while also taking a big drop in class. Those two changes should help his chances today.

We’re back on the racecourse Sunday afternoon with more horse racing picks. It was a small stakes day on Saturday. All of the big action was overseas in the UK at Ascot. Next weekend, the feature is at Thistledown with the running of the $500,000 Ohio Derby (Gr. 3).
Features At Belmont Park
Belmont Park has the biggest race on Sunday as well. It isn’t much compared to other stakes races, but the $150,000 New York Stallion Stakes is the biggest we have today.

Al Cimaglia: Running Aces Late Pick 4 Analysis

Running Aces has a 9-race card scheduled for Sunday with the 0.50 Late Pick 4 starting in Race 6. The sequence has a $5,000 guaranteed pool, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

Race 6

1-Scroll On By (7/5)-Couldn't catch #5 last week who got the jump and was in better position. This filly kept coming and will look for a better steer this time and drawing the rail shouldn't hurt.
5-CR Promise To You (2-1)-Jensen provided the right trip and 1st time Lasix led to a picture. Could be driven aggressively here and if doesn't get hung 1st over it could be another night of posing.

Race 7

5-Susie's Sister (9/5)-Program chalk arrives from Oak Grove and has won 3 straight on the 5/8's. This mare also has won 9 of 24 starts at Aces and will look for a big effort in its season debut in Columbus.
6-Star Track Hanover (5/2)-Hasn't been able to down #3 Pridecrest but has been in the hunt. Should be forwardly placed throughout and may provide some value.

Race 8

6-A And C Artist (4-1)-Bumped up after winning 2 straight and raced well from post 7 but was a well beaten 3rd. Rick Magee could leave in this spot and drop in for an efficient trip. Might be the best down the lane at a square price.
8-Just B Talking (6-1)-Left from the 4-hole and caught a nice pocket ride to pick up an easy win. The price should be good this time as well and will look for a repeat performance.

Race 9

4-Bobs Time (5-1)-Bob is camera shy (1-21) this year but the rest of the field together has only 7 wins. Roland sticks and this is a drop-in class which should help.
7-Nobetterplacetobe (8-1)-Will fade #2, the program chalk who is a 10-year-old making his 1st start since 9-19-21 and he is 0-9 at Aces. Will look for a solid price and has been stuck with post 9 in the last 2 races. This 7-time winner in 2021 can take his 1st picture of this year with a sharp steer.
