GRACEFUL KITTEN - Comparing how the horses in this field have fared under similar conditions, I see this horse has the highest speed figure for the distance and surface. I'm focusing on the class of this thoroughbred, and this one is the 'classiest' of the bunch. You should ignore that last race at Mountaineer Park on a sloppy track where he finished out of the money. Should do well right here on a fast track. Ranks highest in earnings per race. A solid try right here can increase the lifetime bankroll. PAT DADDY - Gelding shipped to this track and won; now goes for two in a row. I have to believe that this shorter distance should help this gelding. This gelding's last speed rating is good enough to win here, I'll bet on him right back this time.

NEW YEAR SURPRISE - Recent decreasing Equibase speed figures of 97/85/75 give a sign that this horse may be going off form. When looking at today's Equibase class figure, he will have to notch a better fig than last out to be competitive in this turf sprint. DON'T POKE THE CAT - You always think this horse has a shot to win, but he fails most of the time. UNBRIDLEDSELECTION - Should be difficult for this thoroughbred to beat this group off of that last speed rating. Doubtful to improve enough to run a figure close enough to today's Equibase class figure, so put him on the questionable contenders list.
