1st race – (5) Wall Street Trader takes a big class drop and gets a nice rider switch and should handle this field. (2) Holiday Arousal seeks a third straight win and looks like the main rival. (1) Westphal missed by a length last time and will be a threat once again. (6) Monologue deserves a look off the Diodoro claim. Betting strategy: 5 to win, place. Exacta box: 2-5. Exactas: 2-5 over 1-6 and 1-6 over 2-5.
3rd race – (2) Youte tired in the stretch while making her first start in nearly four months. Should benefit from that try and hang on here. (7) Callhercontessa won gate-to-wire in her turf debut and cannot be overlooked. (5) Queen on Pompeii can rule in this field. (6) Sunshine Babe will be a stretch threat here. 7th race – (8) Woodbine Way (B) was second despite some trouble and can make amends in this spot. (4) Lexington Humor should be the one to catch here. 9th race – (7) Speaker’s Corner faced the two best horses in training in his last two starts and looks best in this field. (1) C Z Rocket was second and first in the last two editions of this stakes and will be a force from the rail. (4) American Theorem was a sharp winner of the Bing Crosby and will make his presence felt here. (8) Laurel River seems poised for a big effort in his Grade 1 debut. 10th race – (9) Sword Zorro drops out of stakes company and should be able to slice his way through this field. (5) Cono should benefit from comeback race and will be more fit this time around. (10) Cane Creek Road was given a freshening and figures to be a major factor here. (4) Border Town debuts for Maker and can be a main contender. Betting strategy: 9 to win, place.
