MLB Saturday Free Pick OVER 6.5 or 7 in Oakland A's vs New York Mets @ 4:07 ET - The Mets are a massive favorite in this game and rightfully so. Even the run line at -1.5 runs is in the -200 range which is too pricey for me. But at -2.5 the line is -120. That is more reasonable but is also telling you that the oddsmakers are saying there is a good chance the Mets win this by at least 3 runs. With the total as low as 6.5 runs here, that means we need 2 runs out of the A's and that should get us at least a 5-2 final here and we win our over play. Note that as great as deGrom is in on the mound for the Mets, he enters this start having allowed 3 earned runs in B2B outings. Also, prior to a shutout at Pittsburgh in most recent road start, he allowed an average of 2 earned runs in his other two road starts this season. So I look for Oakland to scratch a couple here between deGrom and the New York bullpen. Of course the big key is that the Mets should absolutely crush the A's here. Waldichuk has been consistently roughed up since he was called up earlier this month and he has been getting progressively worse in each start really. Keep in mind, the Mets are 7-1 last 8 games and have scored an average of 6.6 runs per game in the 7 victories. The fact is there is a good chance they get this total all by themselves! The Athletics should contribute some though and 8 of their last 10 home games have totaled at least 8 runs! In fact, those 10 games have averaged 11 runs per game. Free Pick OVER 6.5 or 7 in Oakland

NCAA-F | UNLV vs Utah State
Play on: Utah State +3 -110 at William Hill
Play - Utah State (Game 416).
Edges - Aggies: 11-3 SU in this series, including 4-0-1 ATS as a dog … Rebels: 0-7 SUATS as a road favorite the last twelve years … In what appears to be the strong team favored here, we recommend a 1* play on Utah State. Thank you and good luck as always.

MLB | Guardians vs Rangers
Play on: Guardians -115 at Mirage
The price is low enough to back the streaking Guardians, who are peaking at the right time with 14 wins in their last 16 games.
Cleveland is 21-7 in its last 28 road contests. The Rangers have lost nine of their past 13 home games. Texas is 4-10 the past 14 times hosting Cleveland. The Guardians have 19 more wins this season than Texas and 18 fewer losses than the Rangers.
The pitching matchup is Cal Quantrill versus Glenn Otto. Another checkmark to the Guardians both in starting pitching and bullpen.
The right-handed Quantrill is 13-5 with a 3.56 ERA. The Rangers are 3-11 in their last 14 games against righty starters.
Otto pitches his worst at home with a 6.10 ERA.
1* Free Sharp Play on Twins -130
The Twins (-130) are worth a look as a decently priced home favorite against the Angels in Saturday's MLB action. Minnesota is being way undervalued here due to the fact that they come in having lost 5 in a row. Twins are in the perfect spot here to bounce back. Big reason for that is they got a red-hot starter going in Joe Ryan. Ryan has a solid 3.61 ERA in 25 starts, but he owns a 2.85 ERA in 14 home starts and has a 1.93 ERA and 0.750 WHIP in his last 3 starts. Play the Twins -130!

NCAA-F | Miami-OH vs Northwestern
Play on: Northwestern -7 -110 at circa
This is a Free play on NW.
So I had the Wildcats in their Week Zero win over Nebraska, and I was impressed with what I saw. Now everything that has happened since has made them look far less impressive. Lets dig a little deeper though, after travelling all the way to Ireland and back they played Duke as a double digit favorite at home. They dominated total yards, time of possession and first downs in that game, but they turned the ball over three times and ended up losing. Ryan Hillinski threw for 435 yards and a pair of TDs in a losing effort. Duke is now 3-0, so maybe that loss doesn't look quite as terrible. Then last week they lose to Southern Illinois. Again they had the edge in total yards, first downs and time of possession, but they committed four turnovers. I am ready to buy Northwestern stock at the bottom of the market here, as I think they put the jetlag behind them and rough up an inferior MAC team here at home this week.
