LA PANDA - This filly is in good condition. Finished third on September 15th. The latest speed rating of 68 is the highest last race speed figure in the field. PARISIAN SUMMER - Filly is a few starts into a come back here. Should give a good performance today. Last ran at Presque Isle Downs and finished fifth. Reviewing her handicapping information, I see she was close at the end, within 5 of the winner. I like the hard fact that this filly's last speed fig, 68, is tops in this bunch. Horse has improved at least two speed figure points in last two races. I look for that trend to continue today.

VIDEO STAR - Finished fifth last out. Would have to improve to finish in the money in today's event. Tough to play any steed in a short distance affair if she hasn't hit the board in a sprint in the last couple months. The speed fig last time around the track doesn't fit very well in this event when I look at the class rating of today's race. Mark this entrant as a vulnerable competitor. MOM'S TOWN - This animal didn't show any front speed in the last race. Now she is trying a sprint. Tough chance at the shorter distance. YOU LOOKING AT ME - I don't possess a positive sensation about this racer in this race.

I really like the value we are catching with Pittsburgh as a +145 home dog against the Cardinals on Monday. I just think St Louis is getting way too much respect in this game and if the books don't adjust, I'll be on the Pirates a lot in this series.
There's just no incentive for the Cardinals in these last 3 games of the season and the big thing to keep in mind is that St Louis isn't getting a first round bye. They got play a Wild Card matchup starting Thursday. Guys are going to get days off or get replaced midway thru the game. Starters aren't going to over exert themselves and will almost certainly be on a short pitch count.
Pirates have been playing for pride for a while now and I think will give a solid effort here playing at home against the division champs. Give me Pittsburgh +145!
