NBA | Hornets vs Jazz
Play on: Jazz -7 -110 at BetVegas
Monday NBA Free play. My selection is on Utah minus the points over Charlotte at 9:10 pm et on Monday.
We'll fade the Hornets as they come off consecutive wins to open their current road trip. Despite those two victories, Charlotte remains a woeful 8-18 on the road this season, where it allows north of 120 points per game. The Jazz figure to take full advantage here as they're in 'slingshot' position after getting held down in a one-off against an elite Nets defense on Saturday. Prior to that loss, Utah had made good on 43 or more field goals in three straight games. The Hornets have been performing well offensively but their defense continues to be non-existent. Charlotte has allowed 45, 43, 47, 43, 46 and 45 made field goals over its last six contests, going just 2-4 ATS over that stretch. Keep in mind, the Jazz has an awful shooting night in their home matchup against the Hornets last season, knocking down just 34-of-96 field goal attempts, yet still won by double-digits (but failed to cover as -12.5-point favorites). Here, we'll note that Utah is a long-term 47-26 ATS when coming off an upset double-digit loss at home, as is the case here. Take Utah.
