It's a good time to 'buy low' on the Syracuse Orange after losing three of their last four with a 4-point home loss to UNC and a 4-point road loss at Miami. The Orange will be out for revenge from a 66-73 loss at Virginia in their first meeting this season on January 7th. I like their chances of staying within 5 points in the rematch at home and possibly pulling off the upset.
We'll also 'sell high' on the Cavaliers, who have won six consecutive games coming in while covering four of their last five against the spread. Five of those six wins came by 10 points or fewer, so it's not like they are running away from teams. They don't play a style that allows them to get margin.
Syracuse is 9-4 at home this season with three of the four losses coming by 4 points or less. So they have only lost once at home by more than this 5-point spread. The Orange are 5-0 ATS in their last five games following an ATS loss. Virginia is 3-11 ATS in its last 14 games following a win by 15 points or more. Bet Syracuse Monday.

Both of these teams enter this game scuffing their heels with the Blues having dropped four straight games and the Jets losers of three in a row. I'm confident we'll see Winnipeg bounce back, however, noting that it has gone 17-8 on home ice this season and checks in an incredible 8-1 after a home loss by three goals or more over the last two seasons, as is the case here, outscoring opponents by 2.0 goals on average in that situation. Winnipeg is also 25-10 in its last 35 home games after scoring two goals or less in three consecutive games, outscoring the opposition by an average margin of 1.1 goal in that spot. The Blues are likely to be sellers at the upcoming trade deadline, never able to find any sort of consistency this season and currently sitting eight points back (with three teams to leapfrog) in the Western Conference playoff hunt. Take Winnipeg.

This line against Texas should be closer to PK. The Longhorns are coming off a 71-82 loss at Tennessee on Saturday and now have to travel back to Austin to play their second game in three days. Baylor beat Arkansas at home on Saturday and has little travel involved, which is an advantage for them.
