I love the over (149) in this game, as both of these offenses are elite and the over has hit four of their last five meetings. The final score was also 88-80 the first time these two teams played each other earlier in the season. According to KenPom, the Jayhawks have the 76th-highest adjusted tempo rating and the Longhorns have the 65th-highest. Both teams will look to push the ball up the court as quickly as they can and they will also attempt to consistently score in transition. This will allow both teams to have more possessions throughout this game, which will lead to more points.

Texas is also scoring the 30th most points per game and Kansas is scoring the 75th. They’re both very efficient on the offensive end of the court, as I don’t see either defense getting consistent stops in this game. Take the over (149) and expect a high-scoring battle in this one.

I like Texas Tech (-6), as they have the advantage on the offensive end of the court and they are (11-5) at home. The Cowboys are only (4-7) on the road this season and I don’t see them being able to keep up with this Texas Tech offense. According to KenPom, they have the 62nd highest adjusted offensive efficiency rating and they are scoring the 127th most points per game.

Oklahoma State hasn’t been as strong on the road and Texas Tech is also (8-2) ATS in their last 10 games. They’re playing great basketball right now and I don’t see that trend stopping in this game. Oklahoma State, on the other hand, is (0-5) ATS in their last five overall games. They aren’t playing well enough right now and they struggle on the road. Pick the Texas Tech Red Raiders and lay the points (-6).
Southern Miss -2

Southern Miss has the advantage on both ends of the court and they finished the season very strong. I don’t see them dropping this game to South Alabama, as they have the 80th lowest adjusted defensive efficiency rating and they are (7-3) ATS in their last 10 overall games. They are the better overall team on offense and defense and they won’t allow South Alabama to score enough points to cover this spread. The Jags are also (4-10) on the road this season, as they haven’t been as strong when they aren’t playing at home. The Golden Eagles will take advantage of that and slowly pull away throughout this game. Southern Miss is the better overall team. Pick the Golden Eagles and lay the points (-2).
Tampa Bay Lightning vs Buffalo Sabres Over 6.5

I like the over (6.5) goals in this game, as I trust both of these offenses and both defenses have struggled at times this season. The over is also (7-1-1) in their last nine meetings and (3-0-1) in their last four meetings in Buffalo. TB is scoring the fifth most goals and they have the second-highest PP-scoring percentage. They will consistently score throughout and score the majority of the goals that we need to push this total over the number. The Sabres are allowing the 25th most goals per game, as I don’t see them waking up on the defensive end of the ice in this game.

But, Buffalo is still scoring the third most goals per game and they have the sixth-highest PP-scoring percentage. They will also take advantage of their man-up situations and score just enough goals to push this total over the number. These are two of the top offenses in the NHL and I expect them to battle in this game. Pick the over (6.5) and expect a ton of action in this one.

I am going to roll with the Colorado Avalanche ML on the road, as they’ve seemed to turn a corner and want to finish this regular season strong. They are also (7-2-0-1) in their last 10 and they will be highly motivated to bounce back after their loss to the Devils. Dallas is only (4-3-2-1) in their last 10 and they are only (2-5) against the Avs in their last seven meetings. Colorado has had their number and they are starting to look stronger and stronger. They will show up for this game on the road and do whatever it takes to win this game. Pick the Avalanche ML and trust them on the road.
