#6 Crypt There might be just enough pace in here to set things up for his late rally, and he's one of the more reliable finishers in this spot. He has historically been a decent fit with this kind and should be right there again if he can hold form.
#10 Gushing Oil Not much to write home about in the recent form here, but I think there are some efforts on his page that would keep him in the frame for a piece of this at a price while making his local debut.
#4 Annamated Moon He's got a big claim on this while dropping in for a quarter of the price he raced for last out, but the form doesn't seem to be heading anywhere good, and I could see him getting beat here. Tough call -- class edge keeps him in the mix.
Race Summary Crypt will have to avoid winding up with too much to do, but there are a few potential forward players lined up who may ensure a tempo that's at least fair, and I'll side with his reliable form here in a spot where I'm not really sure what to do with the big dropper Annamated Moon.

Penn National - Race #4

#7 Upstate and Back He was never able to pick up when sent long for the first time with stakes company last out, but he's back sprinting for this one and meets a handful of players who might be chasing early and struggling to stay late. Price should be right with some proving to do here.
#9 Kaz Palace Considered him on top in this one, as he draws well to prompt the splits with his mild ability to rate and finish. Think there's a dreamy trip waiting for him again here.
#1 Edward Madden He'll need to bounce back off the flat December try, but he might wind up finding a decent trip on the fence if the quicker pace crosses over in front early. Think he's got a chance to land a piece of this in the local debut if he can ride the pocket.
Race Summary Upstate and Back gets down in class for this one and might get a fair enough race shape to kick home late. Going to draw a line through that Parx try for several reasons and hope he bounces back here at a mid-range price.

Penn National - Race #5

#6 Desi's Reward She's not going to be any kind of price, and she has had a couple chances with similar at unappealing numbers on the board, but she is meeting next to nothing in this spot and might just drill these.
#10 Finishing Touch She looks like a reasonable alternative to the chalk while dropping to try this level for the first time, but I'm not totally sold that there's a ton of upside here -- might have to hope the chalk can't land it and her baseline is good enough.
#7 Trajec Holiday Not really sure where else to go after the top pair in what feels like a really top-heavy race, but you're looking at potential chaos from one of them with dreadful form if neither of those two land this. This filly at least has a little bit of chasing pace that could leave her in the mix turning for home while trying to grind home to hold a share.
Race Summary Desi's Reward is going to get bet here, but she's got the right kind of style and running lines to be pretty tough against this group. She should be right up tracking what pace there is, and I'm not sure there's anyone lined up in here who is going to be able to come reel her in if she takes command into the lane.

Race Summary COAST TO COAST, nearing $100k in Penn National earnings, is eligible for this spot by four days. He has to step it up a notch off his races this year, but he projects an ideal trip and at least offers a good enough price for a win and place bet.

Race Summary UPSTATE AND BACK won going away in his only start for a claiming price two starts ago, then tried stakes company to no avail last out. He ran with Lasix for the first time when he won and hoping that makes a difference as he tries to turn the tables on several rivals that have beaten him. Bet to win and place.
