Al Cimaglia: Northfield Park Late Pick 4 Analysis

    April 29, 2023 | By Al Cimaglia
Northfield Park has a 15-race program, and the $1.00 Late Pick 4 starts in Race 11. The sequence has a low 14% takeout, and it will be my focus.

Comments and selections below are based on a fast track.

    Race 11

4-Mystical Virgin (5-1)-Finished ahead of the one below last time and has done well since bumping up to this class. This could be night to seal the deal and Sugg can work an effective trip.
6-Dudes Sweet Bet (7/2)-Has been in fine form and got the best of #4 on 4-15 with a gate to wire score. Looking for the same game plan to be used and it could lead to another picture.

    Race 12

4-Adorebella (5/2)-Gets some needed class relief, comes back in sequence and this veteran has won 26 of 79 at Nfld. Expecting Myers to get the top either off the gate or early in the mile and not look back.

    Race 13

2-Face The Shadows (7/2)-Comes off a nice win on a sloppy track last week and should fit well with this crew. Sherman can use this post draw to an advantage and should be racing near the top of the stack.
5-The Dragon Queen (4-1)-Makes the 3rd start off the bench, Myers steers and he had a close 2nd place finish here last summer. This race could set up for a grinder that is in striking range as the pace could be lively.

    Race 14

3-Hereslooknatyou N (3-1)-The driver change to Davis Jr. should help and will toss the last start on a sloppy track from post 7. Should be better here and tried a new plan 2 back and almost lasted on the engine. Expecting an aggressive steer.
6-Official Treasurer (20-1)-Was in too deep in last and now drops to a more competitive level. Looked good 2 and 3 back and this is an interesting price shot. Stahl has some gate speed to use and could surprise with a sharp steer if this 10-year-old is dialed on high.

    $1.00 Late Pick 4

    4,6/4/2,5/3,6
    Total Bet=$8

      Grade Descriptions:
      Grade A=Highest degree of confidence
      Grade B=Solid Play.
      Grade C=Least preferred or pass
Grade X=probable winner but likely at odds too short to play

      __________________________________________________ ____________________________
      RACE 1: Post: 1:00 PT Grade: B-
Main ticket: (in order of preference): 1-Birth of Cool
      Backups/savers: 2-Never Seen Before; 3-Brother Reid

Forecast: The Saturday opener – the first of 12 on today’s program – is a restricted (nw-2) $32,000 claiming turf miler that projects to have a much faster than par pace thanks to the presence of several need-the-lead types. Therefore, let’s concentrate on the best late runners. Birth of Cool always is most effective when held up early and produced late and given the likely race shape he should have every chance from the quarter pole home. A first-off-the-claim play for trainer Reed Saldana (superior stats with this angle), the son of Karakontie is assured a ground-saving trip from the rail and with a clear sailing late can tag the leaders close home. Never Seen Before, third in the same race our top pick exits, switches to top rider Juan Hernandez and really won’t have to improve much to register his first win over the local lawn in his eighth try. Brother Reid is another that always does his best work late. He didn’t get the best of runs when no factor in a similar affair last month and since this will be his third start off a long layoff the Vladimir Cerin-trained gelding should produce enough of a forward move to have a legitimate chance. We’ll include all three on our rolling exotic ticket, with the main push going to Birth of Cool.

      *

      RACE 2: Post: 1:30 PT Grade: B-
Main ticket: (in order of preference): 6-Fiamina
      Backups/savers: none.

Forecast:We’re largely guessing in the first of two baby events on the card, so we can either spread the race or find a single and hope to be right. Fiamina has been training out of the range of the video cameras at San Luis Rey Downs, but the tab looks decent enough for trainer Peter Miller. She lands top jockey Juan Hernandez and lands an outside post that will allow her to load last and hopefully break first. As a daughter of Stay Thirsty from the multiple stakes winning sprinter My Fiona, she is bred to win early so let’s take a stand and make her a win play and rolling exotic single.

      *

      RACE 3: Post: 2:00 PT Grade: A-
Main ticket (in order of preference): 4-Ancient Peace
      Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: Ancient Peace hid from first level allowance foes in an off-the-turf main track miler earlier this month and today tries to carry her intense speed nine furlongs in this year’s renewal of the Providencia Stakes for sophomore fillies. She earned her diploma in convincing style in her previous start, a mile affair on grass, so the surface switch won’t hurt and may even help, and she clearly is a 3-year-old of considerable quality. The John Sadler-trained filly will easily be the controlling speed, and if she switches off at any stage the daughter of War Front can dominate every step of the way. We’ll make her a short priced, logical, rolling exotic single.

      *

      RACE 4: Post: 2:32 PT Grade: C+
Main ticket (in order of preference): 2-Fly a Fantasy; 6-Recalcitrant
      Backups/Savers: none.

Forecast: Here’s another sprint for 2-year-olds, a split of the second race for state-bred fillies. Fly a Fantasy looked like an okay type when breezing in company and proving best in a gate drill (4f, :48.4hg) last week and should at least fit enough for a good effort first crack out of the box. We’ll give her preference on top but also toss in the Doug O’Neill-trained Recalcitrant, who has been doing her preparation at San Luis Rey Downs and has put on paper a solid set of drills with decent final times. Let’s try to survive and advance using just these two in a race that probably should otherwise be left alone.

      *

      RACE 5: Post: 3:05 PT Grade: B
Main ticket (in order of preference): 4-Enjoy It Strait; 6=Hapi Hapi
      Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: We’ll double the fifth race, an allowance optional claimer over a mile on dirt for California-bred runners. Enjoy It Strait seeks his third straight win for new trainer Mark Glatt following a timely $20,000 claim at Golden Gate Fields four weeks ago, and the versatile, dependable, and improving gelding is being raised to the $40,000 level in a clear sign of confidence. Strictly on speed figures, the son of Southern Image is an absolute fit on this circuit at this level and his ideal pace-stalking style should keep him free of trouble and provide him with every chance to keep his winning streak alive. Hapi Hapi apparently has improved dramatically after being sent to Arizona, and while it’s highly unlikely that the Clubhouse Ride gelding faced company as tough as this he has put together a nice resume (five wins from his last six starts) while earning numbers that make him competitive against this group. He may try to clear the field early from his outside draw and if able to do so he should find himself on or near the lead throughout.

      *

      RACE 6: Post: 3:35 PT Grade: C
Main ticket (in order of preference): 6-Habeas; 4-Devil Moon; 8-El Oro
      Backups/savers: none

Forecast:This maiden claiming turf sprint is borderline inscrutable. We see at least three logical contenders, but none can be counted on, so we suggest you spread as deeply as you can afford to in your various rolling exotics. Habeas shows the popular maiden to maiden claiming class drop so by rule he really should improve enough to be right there, even though he has shown no desire to finish under pressure in his first four outings. However, against this group, he may stick around a long time. The switch to top jockey Juan Hernandez certainly won’t hurt. Devil Moon is a 10-race maiden and appears to have gotten used to losing, though he has finished second four times, so at least he’s paying his way. The Malibu Moon gelding has speed figures that can win, so we’ll include him, but not with great expectations. El Oro isn’t too much on paper but at least he can finish a bit, and in a race that could easily see a pace meltdown the French-bred gelding by way of Florida might be able to lay back and then produce a dangerous late kick. Numbers-wise, he’s a good fit with these,

      RACE 7: Post: 4:05 PT Grade: X
Main ticket (in order of preference): 2-Bluegrass Go Go
      Backups/savers: none

Forecast: Bluegrass Go Go actually ran (though he didn’t finish) in the San Felipe Stakes two races back and then most recently wound up a respectable third in a maiden optional claiming sprint in late March while earning a speed figure that is far above par for this bottom rung maiden $20,000 level. The class drop is a serious red flag, but if he has at least one good one left the son of Sharp Azteca should be able to outrun this modest group. Assuming he doesn’t scratch (these types often do), the Doug O’Neill-trained colt projects be a no value rolling exotic single in a race that is best left alone.

      *

      RACE 8: Post: 4:36 PT Grade: A-
Main ticket (in order of preference): 3-El Potente
      Backups/savers: none

Forecast: El Potente is a lightly raced Temple City colt with rapidly improving form and skyrocketing speed figures. The Dan Blacker-trained 4-year-old has won his last pair by a combined 12 lengths, one sprinting, one routing and one each on dirt and grass. He’s also displayed the versatility to win on the front end or from a stalking position, so no matter what the race flow turns out to be regular pilot Joe Bravo should be able to improvise his strategy. Eligible for this starter’s allowance nine furlong grass affair for having raced (and won) at that $50,000 claiming level two runs back, he’s a likely winner once again as a strong straight play and rolling exotic single.

      *

      RACE 9: Post: 5:07 PT Grade: X
Main ticket (in order of preference): 2-Adare Manor; 3-Big Switch
      Backups/savers: none

Forecast: Adare Manor and Big Switch finished heads apart in a stakes quality two-turn allowance main track event in late March and meet again in this year’s edition of the Santa Maria S.-G2 for older fillies and mares. They are just as difficult to separate today as they were in their last encounter, though in today’s event ‘Switch benefits from a two pound break in the weights, for whatever that’s worth. First or second in all six of her starts over the local dirt strip, ‘Manor has trained sharply (as usual) in the interim and should fire another big shot. Ditto for ‘Switch, who earned a career top speed figure in her narrow defeat last time out. Either one can win, so rather than split hairs we’ll double the race in rolling exotic play but otherwise pass the race.

      *

      RACE 10: Post: 5:38 PT Grade: B
Main ticket: (in order of preference): 10-Virat; 4-Seismic Spirit
      Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: Virat drops into a claimer for the first time and may have found his winning level after a series of tough outings when facing first level allowance competition. Drawn comfortably outside, the Peter Miller-trained gelding likely will fold into a cozy stalking position and then be able to move when he’s asked to. He’s solid on speed figures and switches to one of the stable’s “go-to” riders, Ramon Vasquez. Miller’s other starter, Seismic Spirit, is slower on numbers than his stable mate but has the route-to-sprint angle that we like, a previous win over the local lawn, and, with just six career starts, plenty of room for further improvement. Top jockey Juan Hernandez stays aboard and knows him well. We’ll include both in our rolling exotics and then press with extra tickets keying Virat on top.

      *

      RACE 11: Post: 6:09 PT Grade: X
Main ticket (in order of preference): 4-Whimsical Heir
      Backups/savers: none.

Forecast: Whimsical Heir should be a very short price to earn her diploma in this state-bred sprint for fillies and mares. Third in both starts to date, most recently as the 7/5 favorite in a similar affair, the daughter or Orb, should be part of what projects to be a soft pace and then have her chance to create separation from the quarter pole home. The Mark Glatt-trained 4-year-old shows a healthy series of workouts since raced, retains Juan Hernandez, and will have no excuses as a win play and rolling exotic single.

      *

      RACE 12: Post: 6:38 PT Grade: B+
Main ticket (in order of preference): 3-Not Now; 5-Lucky For You
      Backups/Savers: 11-Carmen Miranda

Forecast: Not Now was a visually pleasing winner from maidens sprinting over the flat course while utilizing a mid-pack, stalking style and a good late kick to secure the win, a strategy that often pays dividends in these Hillside slalom events. The daughter of More Than Ready acts like a stakes type but trainer John Sadler is properly using her conditions to gain experience and confidence. Interesting, Juan Hernandez jumps ship to ride Lucky For You, a talented filly he has ridden in all three of her starts. The daughter of Uncle Mo graduated over a mile on the front end last time while producing another forward move on speed figures. The turn back in trip isn’t a concern for the Bob Baffert-trained filly; however, Not Now may have a sharper turn of foot and thus have a slight edge. Carmen Miranda, in the frame in her last five starts, is a dependable type and should at least hit the board again. We’ll include her on a backup ticket.

Golden Gate Pick 4 Analysis: Saturday, April 29

        April 29, 2023 | By Frank Carulli
The sun will set late at Golden Gate Fields this Saturday, April 29. The 12-race card features three $75,000 stakes, the $100,000 Cal Derby and the featured Grade III San Francisco Mile. Three of the stakes are covered in the 50-cent Late Pick 4 wager that begins at 8:15 p.m. EST and carries a $200,000 guaranteed pool. All four races drew at least nine entrants. Here's a closer look with a suggested $54 bet:

GG 9th race (8:15 EST) -- AUSTRALIA MIA, who won six consecutive stakes races in Chile last year and made a good first impression in the U.S. with a third-place finish in the Astra Stakes at Santa Anita, pulled a disappearing act her last start, the Grade III Santa Ana on soft footing. She starts fresh and surely can bounce back, but as one of the favorites, look elsewhere to begin the Pick 4. BUYBACK, the runner-up in this race last year, took a different approach into this year’s $75,000 Golden Poppy. She raced evenly in a useful sprint on the main track to get ready for her second start after nine months away. She dueled through fast fractions in last year’s race before winning favorite Always Seeking (7-13, $192k) rallied from last to win. EVER SMART had trouble lines in five of her nine starts on turf in allowance company but still managed a win and two seconds. She worked forwardly for her seasonal debut and gets a spot on the ticket. TAM’S LITTLE ANGEL is a longshot worth considering off an improved try with second-time Lasix last out. She chased fast fractions and bid into contention in mid-stretch at 5-1/2F before weakening.

GG 10th race (8:45 EST) -- Like the way HARCYN is coming into the $100,000 Cal Derby. He went wire-to-wire in his first two starts, settled nicely and caught the runaway leader in the El Camino Real Derby at 1-1/8 miles before flattening out in deep stretch, then rallied into soft fractions and ran second at one mile despite not changing leads. He wears blinkers for the first time and can turn the tables on El Camino Real winner CHASE THE CHAOS at a shorter distance. CHASE THE CHAOS rallied for 1-2-3 stakes race finishes on Golden Gate’s synthetic track and will get ample pace flow to do it again.

GG 11th race (9:15 EST) -- DICEY MO CHARA shortens up off a series of Grade II turf marathons in which he had a win, two seconds and a third since September – all decided in photo finishes. He will need some pace flow in the featured Grade III San Francisco Mile, but should get it if the field stays intact. BALNIKHOV, no threat on ‘good’ footing in his first Grade I attempt to begin his 4-year-old season, parlayed his late kick into a Grade III victory and two Grade II runner-up finishes at various venues last year. He is a proven miler and a must use on the ticket.

GG 12th race (9:45 EST) – SUE GENEROUS led the parade of 2-3-4-5 finishers as the favorite in a race won by Serious Secret, who set a faster pace than a same-day MSW sprint at 6F and held on for the victory. Four lengths separated the four runners, now three new shooters and two first-time starters enter the mix in this bottom-level maiden claimer, prompting an ‘ALL’ punch in the final leg.

        Suggested 50-cent Ticket
        GG 9th Race: 4, 5, 6
        GG 10th Race: 2, 8
        GG 11th Race: 2, 9
        GG 12th Race: ALL
        Cost for 50-Cent Ticket: $54

          Brian W. Spencer's Daily Picks

          Santa Anita - Race #8
#4 Club Aspen He has been a pretty reliable type, and I like the way he stepped into this kind of company with a good effort last out. Could see him getting a dreamy trip right behind a few more committed forward players.
#3 El Potente Nothing to argue with on the recent form, and he's a speed player with a slight ability to relax and press the issue a bit. Think he's the clear one to beat today.
#7 Explain This Audit Gave him a little consideration on top, as he's certainly better than he showed last time out, and he would probably benefit if the pace players tussled early. Think his form cycle could have him sitting on a bounce-back effort.
Race Summary Club Aspen and Explain This Audit both have some appeal at what might be playable enough prices thanks to the presence of razor-sharp El Potente. 'Aspen should get the right kind of first over trip with these.
          Santa Anita - Race #11
#4 Whimsical Heir She has to turn the tables on the runner drawn widest, but that one doesn't have a bunch of upside into her 12th career start, and this filly might still have a step forward in her in this second run of the season. Lots to like for a barn that does really good work in these spots.
#3 Danzing Cat She'll need to come forward off the debut run, but I like that she flashed some pace that day and stuck around well. Wouldn't be a surprise to see her wire these with what looks like a pretty favorable race shape on paper.
#7 Bold Choice She really wouldn't be a surprise, but she might already be a bit past her best day, though she does have some room to improve on the move back to the main track. Your call -- but she's not for me.
Race Summary Whimsical Heir and Danzing Cat are tough to split in here, but I think 'Heir is sharp enough to lean on heavily in the first leg of the Golden Hour Pick-4.
          Santa Anita - Race #12
#12 Lady Jae I think she's got a big claim on this one at a decent price while turning back, and her better stuff from earlier this year might stack up in a pretty sneaky way with these.
#11 Carmen Miranda Her last two have been solid and fit well in here, and the winner in her last made a lot of sense on paper. She's probably the one to beat here.
#1 Red Diamond She is a 6-year-old runner with eight lifetime starts and some big layoff lines, but she fired fresh here last year and has reliable finishing form that probably isn't too far off what it might take to land this.
Race Summary Lady Jae should offer a nice price and has a little bit of appeal late on the scene. She was beaten less than two lengths by Carmen Miranda when they met last out, but the tote should be much more attractive here.

            Frank Carulli's Daily Picks

            Turf Paradise - Race #1
#3 FLASH DASH (5-2) Blink, and you could have missed him running away to victory in his trial heat.
#10 FIRST BLUES MAN (7-2) Bumped outward at start, recovered to win going away as the favorite.
#4 FAVORITE BUDDER (6-1) Won in first try as a gelding for same trainer as top two selections.
Race Summary Trainer Alex Torres-Casas is loaded with so much quarter horse power in the $30,000 AQRA Presidents Futurity, he could sweep the board. FLASH DASH drifted in mid-stretch but corrected himself with a furious rush in the trial for his second win without a loss. FIRST BLUES MAN was bumped outward at the start but he, too, surged to victory at today’s 300-yard distance and offers better morning-line value. Jockey Kevin Carbajal rode FIRST BLUES MAN but opts for trial winner FAVORITE BUDDER in the 2-year-old’s second start as a gelding. Bet to win and place on FLASH DASH, today’s Best Bet.
            Turf Paradise - Race #3
#4 N.K. ROCKET MAN (6-1) Prepare for fast takeoff and good chance at springing mild upset.
#2 CIBERTRUCK (8-1) Second to 4-to-5 fave two back, took money and made move in faster follow up.
#1 OF GOOD REPORT (7-2) Lacked kick in three March starts, finished second in 3 of 4 prior.
Race Summary N.K. ROCKET MAN chased the co-favorite while 4-wide on both turns before the deep closers passed by. He should be the target in today’s race and is too good to pass up at 6-1 on the morning line. Bet to win and place and play a 1-2-4 exacta box.
            Turf Paradise - Race #4
#3 I’LL TAKE THE SOUP (8 Been hard used in well-bet sprints thus far, could return claim dividend.
#5 SMART LEAH (5-1) Debuts at age 4, good work tab at Turf Paradise to suggest readiness.
#7 MAKARA (3-1) Rallied wide, draws outside, use underneath in gimmick wagers.
Race Summary I’LL TAKE THE SOUP dueled on or near the lead in her last four main-track sprints but managed only one third-place finish. She could meet the same fate, but thinking the cutback in distance and second start off a freshening will make the winning difference. Bet to win and place.

Keeneland Select Pick of the Day | April 29, 2023

                      Apr. 28, 2023

Race 8 at Churchill Downs | Saturday April 29 | Post Time 9:39 PM Eastern
Allowance Race | Purse $134,000 | Five and One Half Furlongs on Turf | Fillies and Mares, Three Years Old and Upward
                      Win contenders:
Madrilena (8) has only run on turf once since importing to the U.S. from her native Argentina last summer, and that race was very good so a repeat of it is certainly good enough to win this similar race. That effort came last September in a turf sprint at Kentucky Downs, in her second start off a layoff, and she rallied into the stretch to lead by two lengths before being caught just near the wire and coming up a neck short. Jockey Corrales was up for that top effort but did not ride her last fall in New York when she was entered for turf but stayed even though the race was moved to dirt, finishing last of 10, nor did Corrales ride in her 2023 comeback last month on the all-weather at Turfway Park. Now back on the grass and making her second start off a layoff just like she was making last September, a repeat of that effort with a pretty strong 94 Equibase Speed Figure could reward us with a profit on win bets as she opens at 6 to 1 odds.
Awesome Treat (6) is the other key contender of note, opening at higher odds than Madrilena, 10 to 1. She’s finished first or second in five of 10 on all-weather but never run on turf. However, her turf breeding is top notch and the races she ran in December, January and February when second at this level or in stakes competition were very good as she was beaten for the win by a half-length, a length, and a neck respectively. Her most recent race on conventional dirt at Keeneland is totally irrelevant as she was never even close to hitting the board in three prior dirt races, now four. When second in the Wishing Well Stakes in January, Awesome Treat earned a career best 97 figure and so a repeat of that effort could easily see her finishing first or second today at high odds.
There are no real knocks on lower odds horses such as Nota Bene (1), who starts at 5 to 2 odds, or on Parents Pride (7), who starts at 2 to 1 odds, but neither are standouts as their combined record is 4-6-1 in 21 starts. Another horse with a shot to be part of the exacta is Atlantic Strike (9), who has won two in a row on all-weather but ran poorly in her only previous try on grass.
If the race should come off the turf and be run on dirt, Mercy Warren (10), who is the only horse entered as main track only (just for dirt) could dominate as she did one race before last when winning at the one lower allowance level by 16 lengths.
                      Bets:
Win Bets: Madrilena (8) can be bet to win at odds of 3 to 1 or more, AND, Awesome Treat can be bet to win at odds of 4 to 1 or more. I would not hesitate betting both horses if they are above those minimum odds thresholds.
Exactas: Awesome Treat (6) and Madrilena (8) over Awesome Treat (6), Madrilena (8), Nota Bene (1), Parents Pride (7) and Atlantic Strike (9).
Optionally, you can consider playing the reverse of the exacta above which is Awesome Treat (6), Madrilena (8), Nota Bene (1), Parents Pride (7) and Atlantic Strike (9) over Awesome Treat (6) and Madrilena (8). That way if Awesome Treat and Madrilena finish first and second, we win both bets.

2nd race [Memories of Silver, 1 mi TURF] – Weather forecasts show a 100% chance of rain and heavy winds at Aqueduct on Saturday so there are picks for the race at the end of this turf analysis if it is moved to the main track. (7) Royalty Interest will make his second start after an impressive debut victory at Tampa Bay Downs as a heavy favorite. Chad Brown’s preferred turf course in Florida is at Tampa. Irad Ortiz Jr. went with this filly to ride her first race and stays on board for this start. (5) Queen Picasso was another impressive maiden winner in Florida in her first start at Gulfstream Park for the Clement barn. Like the top choice she has European bloodlines. (6) Juniper’s Moon brings experience to the field with 3 out of 4 starts on the grass with only top three finishes. She has two starts this year at Tampa with a maiden win and then a third in the Florida Oaks (G3) after having the lead in the stretch. (2) Lady Beth is another debut winner for Brown. She won her only start by four lengths back in February at 3-1 in a race that was scheduled for the turf but was run on the Gulfstream Tapeta course. Flavien Prat will get the mount after Jose Ortiz opted to ride the second choice instead.
Picks for the main track, two of which were entered for the Main Track Only: 8, 10, 1, 2.
7th race [Clm 16000 N2L, 1 mi] – (2) Mo Rewards was claimed three races back by Linda Rice and then started twice against much stronger competition and drops into what should be a winning spot. (3) Let Freedom Spring broke his maiden last time for a $20,000 tag on a muddy track and comes back here in the proper spot to face winners for the first time. (4) Star Attitude also broke his maiden for $20,000 but has a pair on top three finishes at this level since then. (9) Dee’s Speedstre gets Irad Ortiz as the horse tries to win at the N2L level after a couple of thirds.
8th race [OC 62k/N2X, 1 mi] – (2) Zandon, who won the Blue Grass (G1) and was third in the Kentucky Derby last year makes his 2023 debut after last seen running fourth in the Cigar Mile (G1) in December. He was a debut winner for Chad Brown. (8) Tonal Impact has nine top three finishes in a row with the last five at Aqueduct. Linda Rice claimed him for $40,000 back in November in Kentucky. (5) King Kumbalay has three starts this year in high level allowances where he earned checks and good speed figures in his last two starts. (7) Good Skate will cut back in distance to a one-turn race where last seen he was a winner. This guy has a great record at Aqueduct.
9th race [Md 20000, 7F] – (1) Steady Progress pressed the pace and finished third last time for a $40,000 tag. (3) Dads Good Runner ran second and third earlier in the winter and now leading rider Manny Franco gets on board for the first time. (8) New York Panther drops out of maiden special weights in his first five races. He is back to sprinting on the dirt which seems like a good idea. (2) Dakota’s Destiny will make his first career start for a trainer that is good with debut runners.
Best bets: Royalty Interest (2nd); Zandon (8th). Best value: Mo Rewards (7th); Steady Progress (9th).
