This is a play on the TEXAS RANGERS for our Friday Free Play. Texas took two of three games in Pittsburgh after dropping the series opener and the Rangers have won five of their last six games to maintain their three-game lead in the American League West and come in as underdogs despite a big edge in the starting pitching matchup. Part of that is due to the recent play of the Orioles as after a sweep in Toronto, they took two of three against the Yankees in New York to remain three games behind Tampa Bay in the American League East. They are 15-8 at home but that is not much better than the Rangers record on the road. Jon Gray has been great this season and after a hiccup against Arizona, he has put together three straight strong outings, allowing two runs over 20 innings for a 0.90 ERA and 0.80 WHIP. He has allowed three runs or less in eight of nine starts. The same cannot be said for Grayson Rodriguez who has been all over the place. The has put together some solid starts but has also blown up a few times and faces one of the best offenses in baseball with his 6.21 ERA and 1.64 WHIP. Here, we play on teams when the money line is +125 to -125 after 10 straight games with one or less errors and with a bullpen that has thrown three innings or less over last two games.
