While the Blackhawks figure to be one of the league's worst teams this season, I do expect them to be a 'tough out' nonetheless. Here, they catch the Maple Leafs in a favorable situation as Toronto is just 12-16 when coming off consecutive wins over the last two seasons, outscored by an average margin of 0.4 goals in that spot. The Leafs are 6-11 when following up consecutive home victories over that stretch, outscored by 0.6 goals on average along the way. Take Chicago +1.5 goals.

Tonight, it's an Eastern Conference showdown at Nationwide Arena as the Blue Jackets (1-1) take on the Red Wings (1-1) at 7:00 PM EDT, and you can catch the action on ESPN+. The odds favor the Red Wings (-125) on the Moneyline, with a Total Pick set at 6.5, and the Red Wings are -1.5 on the puckline.

I like the value on the Red Wings tonight. The goalie situation in CBUS doesn't look promising.

Husso had a mixed start, allowing three goals against the Devils but rebounding with a solid 6-4 win over Tampa Bay. He showed confidence in the last game, a good sign for the Red Wings matchup. Facing a youthful Red Wings team, Husso will need to stay sharp.

On the flip side, Martin had a brief relief appearance on Saturday, making 15 saves in a 5-3 win over the Rangers as Merzlikins fell ill. Considering Martin's previous struggles and time with the AHL's Abbotsford, it's uncertain if he's ready for NHL action. The Jackets have called up Greaves from AHL Cleveland, suggesting Merzlikins won't be available tonight. With the goalie situation uncertain, the Jackets need to step up their game for this matchup.

The Jackets beat the Rangers 5-3, and lost to the Flyers 4-2.

These two have split their last 6 head to head winning 3 each. DeBrincat the Michigan native has brought some much needed fire to the Wings locker-room and the Wings offense looks rejuvenated to start the 2023/24 season. 4.5 GPG is a nice start to the year.

Some trends to note, Columbus are 3-10 SU in their last 13 games, and they're 7-13 SU in their last 20 games at home.

I'll take Arizona as a +152 road dog in Game 1 of the NLCS at Philadelphia. This line suggest that the Phillies have a massive edge in this game, but I don't feel that's the case at all. The Diamondbacks are a perfect 5-0, having swept the Brewers and the Dodgers. 4 of the 5 wins have come on the road. Arizona starter Zac Gallen is every bit as good as Phillies' starter Zack Wheeler.
