EC TEMP GL looks decent to best this field. He has been running admirably and the speed figures are among the top in this group. Has been racing soundly in races of this distance, going 1 for 4 under similar conditions. Rivera will most likely be able to get this gelding to break out early for this event. HAWKEYE TO - Camacho has him trained quite well to break rapidly out of the starting gate. CLONED SPEED - Sharp returns have been scored by risk takers using this jockey and handler tandem as of late. With a very strong 74 speed figure last time out, will surely be a factor in this contest.

HOLD MY BEER BRO - Note that although this gelding finished in the place spot in his last race, he was well ahead of the third place horse. This is a classic positive angle. Dropping down in class figure points from his Oct 24th race at Presque Isle Downs. Based on that element, I will give this horse the edge. Have to give this gelding a fair chance. Ran a sharp outing last time around the track within the last 30 days. This gelding's last speed rating is lofty enough to triumph here, I'll play him back again in today's event. MISSILEER - This gelding surprised everybody by finishing third October 26th. Trainer Carpio gave this gelding a good stiff blow out. Last one was 2nd fastest of the day. It looks like Inirio had to know this gelding on October 26th when riding him for the initial time. Back on board again today. Carpio brings him right back. I suggest you stay with this live gelding. BELLS RUN - I like this first time starter mainly because his morning works for this have been here at Penn National. This jock and handler's horses have been generating a favorable ROI. I'm optimistic this colt will run well today. Last morning work was 2nd fastest of the day, which tells me he's sharp right now. Take this advice. When you've got a first-time-starter, take a look at dam stats as much as sire stats. This one's dam has been great winning at a 75 percent clip.

SOCIALLY AWKWARD - I predict a disappointing effort for this horse in this event. PENTATONIC - This horse hasn't been coming close at the finish line recently.

GUEST COMMENTARY: Winston - MISSILEER - Equibase class rating today of 55. Taking a big drop in the level of competition and should respond to a softer field. Worth a wager.

Has been racing in the most competitive company of the group lately. MY BALBOA - Has been running admirably lately and will most likely be on the front end early on. Had one of the top speed figures of this field in his last race. HARLEY SIOUX - With a reliable 51 average speed rating at the distance, seems well suited for today's race. In this field, this entrant is in the upper half of earnings per start in dirt sprint events.

DOWSING ROD - Has unearthed a good situation this time around. SENATOR KELLY - I like a horse that manages to finish in the money as often as this gelding. Almost always in the money so don't leave him out of your exotic bets. Quite frequently, I play a maiden that finished in the place spot easily ahead of the 3rd horse in his last race. I really like that latest effort on Oct 26th at Laurel where he ended up second. THE LAST JUMPSTART - Have to like the way Aguirre has raced this gelding back into shape off the layoff. Horse is well spotted in this sprint and I think he'll run well today. Look for this one to go all the way to the finish line at some respectable odds right here. Ran fifth in last race, but not more than 5 from the lead at the end.

With Rispoli controlling the reins on her, this filly will almost certainly be able to break out sharply in here. Has to be given consideration based on the very good speed rating put up in the last affair. JULIAS DREAM - Has run soundly when racing a turf sprint race. Looks respectable against this field and will probably be one of the front-runners. APRIL VINTAGE - Can't overlook the connections here, a 22 winning percentage, one of the best at getting into the winner's circle. Has to be given a chance versus this group of horses displaying very good numbers lately and an average Equibase Speed Figure of 80 under similar conditions.

SMOKEN CHLOE - The jockey/trainer duo of VanDermeersch and McClachrie has a strong return on investment together. Personally, I wouldn't worry about where she finished in her last race (fourth). Should improve in this field, with some decent odds. Getting a weight break of 5 lbs from last race at Woodbine on October 26th. This certainly could make the difference today. BRIEF - Looking at today's Equibase class figure, this thoroughbred is up against an easier group than in the last race at Woodbine. Just look at her most recent speed figure, 64. That one looks good in this field. FOREVER DANISH - This thoroughbred coming off a good try in the last month or so is a serious competitor in my opinion. Finished ahead of today's favorite in the last race at Woodbine. Can do the same again in this event.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 HIGH TREASON (ML=5/2), #6 QUEEN OF THE COURT (ML=8/1),

HIGH TREASON - If you keep selecting these kind of 'bridesmaid' types, you're going to be frustrated most of the time. QUEEN OF THE COURT - This questionable contender didn't do much for me last time out of the box finishing seventh. Can't expect any change today. This less than sharp equine ran a disappointing speed fig last time around the track. She shouldn't improve and will probably lose in today's race running that rating.

LONESOME STEW - Tyler was aboard this gelding last out and was impressed enough to take the horse right back. This gelding's last speed fig is good enough to win here, I'll wager on him back again today. MIDNIGHT FURY - 'Victory' and Knapp perform well when they partner up. It's hard to beat a +67 return on investment for a jock and conditioner. I like this gelding a lot here. He shows a lot of consistency, finishing in the money frequently.

Vulnerable Contenders: #6 NOKIE (ML=4/1), #4 TORQUEWRENCH (ML=6/1), #7 ZE'BUL (ML=6/1),

NOKIE - A bit of a lackluster outing when this filly finished sixth. Finished sixth in her most recent race with a mediocre speed fig. When I look at today's class rating, it would take an improved performance to triumph after that in this field. TORQUEWRENCH - Tough assignment for this animal to beat winners this time out after only defeating maiden claimers last out. This horse ran a mediocre speed rating last time around the track. He shouldn't run much better and will probably suffer defeat in today's event running that figure. ZE'BUL - 6/1 odds isn't enough for this horse when looking at the most recent showings.

GUEST COMMENTARY: The Brain - LONESOME STEW - This gelding has, based on my data, dominant pace. Look for this one to be in front as they turn for home, straight through to the wire.
