Two division leaders square off when the Ranger take on the visiting Canucks. Off an overtime loss despite 45 shots on goal, the Rangers look to bounce back on Monday. NY has won three straight against Vancouver, including a 4-3 overtime win in October. The Rangers have the best power play in the league and a solid PK. While the Canucks lead the league in goals scored per game, they are a good step behind in special teams. Other than a rare really poor outing vs. the ‘Canes, Shesterkin has been terrific lately with a .924 Save % and 2.12 goals allowed since Mid-December. Canucks’ net minder Demko’s play has regressed from his stellar early season, with a .891 Save % while allowing 3.3 goals a game in his last six starts.

The Canucks are well coached and have defied expectations so far this season, but it is tough to bank on their continued success, especially on the road. They are dominant in Vancouver but 11-7 on the road and just 5-6 as a road underdog. The Rangers are very tough to beat at home.

Goal tending should decide this one and Shesterkin definitely has the hotter hand. Look for the Ranger to bounce back and win at home.

We feel the home side is worth the price of admission in this spot. Vancouver has been trading wins/losses over its last seven games and off an upset 6-4 win at New Jersey just last night, we believe this pattern will continue in the second game of the back-to-back scenario. New York has also curiously been trading wins/losses of late as well over its last six games and off a 4-3 shootout loss at Montreal as a big favorite last night, we feel this pattern will also continue here now back at home; either way, we recommend a "second look" at New York on Monday night!

Monday NBA Free play. My selection is on the 'over' 243.5 between Boston and Indiana at 7:10 pm et on Monday.

The front half of this two-game set between the Celtics and Pacers in Indiana stayed comfortably 'under' the total in a game that wasn't all that competitive. I expect a different story to unfold on Monday. Note that both teams continue to give up a ton of scoring opportunities. Boston has allowed an average of 93 field goal attempts per game on the road this season and has given up 90 or more field goal attempts in nine of its last 10 games overall. You would have to go back eight games to find the last time the Pacers held an opponent to fewer than 90 field goal attempts. Rested following Sunday's off-day I'm confident we'll see both teams push the pace here. The 'under' has now cashed in consecutive meetings in this series. We haven't seen three straight 'under' results between these two teams since back in 2019. Also note that the 'over' is 13-4 in the Celtics last 17 road games following a victory by 15 points or more while the 'over' is 10-1 in the Pacers last 11 games at home after a loss by 15 points or more. Take the over.

I like Washington to cover this spread against Alabama in the National Title game. The best way for Washington to win this game is by it becoming a track meet and I think it becomes just that. The Huskies offense is averaging 478 yards of offense per game and 37 PPG. On the defensive side, they have held teams to 27 PPG in their L3 games against strong offensive opponents. Michigan has played great all season and has slayed every dragon they have faced, but their time has come. They have not faced a QB like Michael Penix or Offensive Line like Washington’s all season and their defense is going to get worn down. Washington has two 1K+ Yard Wide Receivers that can run havoc all over this Michigan defense and I expect them to do just that. The favorite has covered in four straight National Title games, but they have it wrong this time. Take the points with Washington and sprinkle on the ML. -Joey Tron

This is a play on the MIAMI HEAT-4 for our Monday Free Play. Miami is coming off a loss at Phoenix to close a 2-3 roadtrip which followed a four-game winning streak. The Heat are an average 9-6 at home but that includes a 9-3 record when they are favored and this is the start of a four-game homestand. Miami is still without Jimmy Butler but that is being factored into this line and the Heat have lost two of the three games he has fully missed but those were all on the road. The Heat are in need of the offense to get rolling at home as they have shot 44 percent or less in four straight games. Houston is coming off an upset over Milwaukee as it has been a great team at home but an awful team on the road. On the season, the home team is 25-9 which includes the Rockets going 3-10 on the road including 2-10 when getting points. They are having an amazing turnaround with 18 wins already this season after winning only 22 games all of last season so they are going to shatter that number and they are right in the playoff mix as they are currently in the No. 8 spot in the Western Conference. Here, we play on home favorites of 3.5 to 9.5 points after three or more consecutive unders, in a game involving two teams averaging between 108 and 114 ppg. This situation is 50-23 ATS (68.5 percent) since 1996. Play (534) Miami Heat
