I've got to go with ARMA D'ORO and the potential return justifies the dangerous nature of the long odds. He has been running solidly and the speed figures are among the best in this group. LOVE CANDY - Could wake up with Lasix change (with second time Lasix) today. Earnings per start at the distance/surface is a strong angle. This horse ranks at the top in this group. YES HE CAN - Is a very solid contender based on numbers recorded as of late under today's conditions. Rivera will probably be able to get this gelding to break out sharply for this event.

WORA - Rider jumped on this gelding's back for the first time on November 24th. Should be in tune with the animal even better in today's race. My expertise says this is the only presser in the race. MADDY'S DREAM - I figure that today's shorter distance should help this horse. I like this horse. Has the highest earnings per start in here today.

Vulnerable Contenders: #1 FLY FLY AWAY (ML=4/1), #6 JOHN JAY (ML=9/2), #4 FREE SOUL (ML=6/1),

FLY FLY AWAY - Last effort was too nice. Not too far of a reach to expect a 'performance bounce' in today's event. JOHN JAY - This gelding raced very well on December 27th placing first, but hasn't even visited the track since then. Not really a good sign. FREE SOUL - Generally I need a sprinter to have some recent success in short distance events in order to bet on him. The speed fig in the last race doesn't fit very well in this affair when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's event. Mark this horse as a likely underpriced equine.

I like the rider on this gelding - formidable chance to win the contest. Has to be given a shot based on the very good Equibase speed fig posted in the last competition. VEGAS BURNER - Will probably come out sharp - I have liked the way this gelding has moved swiftly to the front end recently. Had one of the best Equibase speed figs of this group in his last contest. SNEAKING CANDY - This colt could improve with second time Lasix. The winning percentage shown by horses entered by Puype running at this distance are the best in this group.
