Eddie Roman 10,000 Dime Monday Night Football Lock
DALLAS COWBOYS -8.5 over Carolina
Sorry the analysis was late today, I got caught traveling and doing radio
shows so I apologize.
A couple of things about this game and let's start with the most obvious
which is the line. 8.5 points seems awfully high for a Dallas team that
didn't win last week but you know what, I think people will get trapped
onto Carolina and will pay for it.
Dallas had the NY Giants on the ropes. The Giants are probably the best
team in the NFC and a top 3 team in the entire league. Washington couldn't
move on their defense, Tampa Bay didn't get their first - first down
until 5 minutes were left in the 3rd quarter yesterday yet Dallas moved at
will on NY and pretty much dominated the game, they just were unlucky with
turnovers.
Dallas is the better team by far and the oddsmakers know it, which is why
this spread is so high.
From a football standpoint, I do believe the Cowboys have a major mismtach
when it comes to their D-Line against the Panthers O-Line. Dallas is just
way to fast and Delhomme has shown a great propensity for doing one of two
things this season. He either gets jittery, pulls the ball down and gets
sacked or he hurries his throws and that results in INT's. He doesn't
trust his O-Line ar all, I knew that watching what he did against the
Eagles.
Dallas is the play here tonight. They will bounce back and get their first
win in their new stadium. Go with the Cowboys.
Although the Twins have not played particularly well here in the Motor City this season (2-3), they have taken 9 of 14 head-to-head meetings with the Tigers overall this season and are clearly the hotter of the two teams heading into this four-game set. Minnesota manager Ron Gardenhire consistently gets his team to play well in the month of September and this year is no different with 11 wins in the last 13 games. Detroit, meanwhile, is struggling with just seven wins in their last 18 games, which is why this division race has gotten so tight. There will be a tremendous amount of pressure on Rick Porcello, the Tigers young starter, who has lost the last two times he’s faced the Twins. Nick Blackburn has looked very sharp in his past two starts (1.35 ERA) and was very effective in beating Porcello the last time he faced them, allowing just one earned run in a complete game 6-2 victory. As the manager of Minnesota, Gardenhire is 27-15 on the road when his team is seeking revenge for a loss as a home favorite. We’re taking the hotter team as we look for a tight division race to get even tighter. Minnesota is our 10* AL Central Showdown Winner.
