    4.5 DIME PLAY

    Pittsburgh @ West Virginia

    7:00pm Friday Night

4.5 Dime Play Take West Virginia Pk The Panthers come into this game winning the last two meetings in a nock out drag out fashion, one of which knocked West Virginia out of a BCS title game in 2007. So to say the least West Virginia is looking to return the favor this year and they have the talent to do so. West Virginia has yet to really win a game this year vs a big name team and what a better time to make that happen. Pittsburgh has to have Cincinnati in the back of their minds for next weeks game and that will hurt them, especially if Cincinnati wins their noon game. If Pitt goes into this game knowing that they will be facing an unbeaten Cincinnati team with the chance to take that away from them, you can bet they will be thinking ahead. West Virginia has nothing to lose and everything to gain. Another thing I like is the fact that Pitt has not won three straight in this matchup in 27 years and this would make three. That trend may mean nothing to some, but to me it means neither team wants to lose this one and considering it's in West Virginia with the revenge factor in play big time, we will roll with WV at home.

    Trends I Like

Mountaineers are 8-2 ATS in their last 10 games after allowing more than 200 yards rushing in their previous game.
Mountaineers are 4-1 ATS in their last 5 games as an underdog of 0.5-3.0.
Panthers are 3-8 ATS in their last 11 games as a favorite of 0.5-3.0.
Panthers are 2-7 ATS in their last 9 games on turf.
Panthers are 3-8 ats before their final home game.

      Doc's

      NBA

      4-Unit Play #705 Take Cleveland/Charlotte UNDER 185 ½ (7 p.m. EST, Friday)

The under has cashed in three of the last four meetings between these clubs. These teams met once already this season and the Cavs shot 58% from the field and 56% from three-point land yet they only managed 90 points and the total tallied in at 169. That means this pace was slowed way down and that is what we expect again tonight since that is the Bobcat’s Method of Operation. We feel their defense will be much better in this game since they are at home and we have a hard time thinking that their offense (No. 29 in the league) is going to all of the sudden have a breakout game against this Cavs defense.

      5-Unit Pick #709 Take Milwaukee/Oklahoma City UNDER 198 (9:30 p.m. EST, Friday)

Both teams here are in the Top 10 for defense and this game just struck us as being 5-6 points over what it should be after first glance and researching the game cemented that opinion . Oklahoma City is No. 5 in the NBA for defensive points allowed and they are in the bottom half of the league offensively and we think they will set a defensive tone as the home team against a Milwaukee team that is No. 10 defensively in the league and is a middle-of-the-pack team offensively. Both teams have been solid over teams lately but they have faced either up-tempo squads or too low of totals. If both teams play to their season averages for offense and defense this one will be well under the posted number and we think this one could wind up in the 180s.

4-Unit Play Take Sacramento -4 Over New Jersey (10 p.m. EST, Friday)

Just think there is some great value here as Sacramento is still being undervalued by the bookies despite going 7-2 against the spread in their last nine contests. Tonight they face a team that has failed to do anything right this season and is mired in a 0-15 start to the season. Not only is New Jersey not winning they are not covering, as they have dropped four out of their last five ATS despite getting double digits in three of those five games (the only game they covered, at Portland, they lost by 10). New Jersey has one of the worst offenses the NBA has seen in awhile and they can’t even score on bad defenses like Sacramento. And they will have a hard time keeping up with an offense that averages 109 PPG at home.

        TONY GEORGE
        111 Pittsburgh -1.0 (-110) Bodog vs 112 West Virginia

Backyard Brawl, and the Panthers have the bite, the best key skill players and a very short line, even on the road in this one. This is not the same WV team as in years past and struggle to score. Pitt is balanced on offense, they can throw and run the ball well, way too much for an undermanned WV , even at home in an emotional game..Pitt will bring their A game.
