      Thursday MLB Play-GC
On Thursday the free play is on the Atlanta Braves. Game 913 at 7:10 eastern. The Braves have T.Hudson going tonight and he has been superb on the road this season with a 2.27 era and 0.82 era over his past 3 starts. In games against the Florida Marlins he is 8-2 2.92 era. Tonight he opposes R.Nolasco. In Nolasco starts the Marlins are 4-7 vs the Braves and he has a subpar 4.57 era. When pitching at home this season Nolasco has a putrid 6.14 era. Look for the Braves to win this one tonight vs the Marlins. For the free play take the Atlanta Braves. bol GC

I really like the TB Rays in this game vs the CWS...I think the Rays have a big edge on the hill with J.Niemann who is 4-0 this season...the Rays are in need of a big win after getting swept by Boston this week...I like my chances with Niemann...the White Sox have struggled over the years at the Trop and I expect the Rays hitters to wake up tonight and shell G.Floyd...Rays run line is the play

                            THE DUKE SPORTS

                            Atlanta (-105) for 2.5 Units

After a slow start, the Braves' lineup has finally started to drive in runs; as a matter of fact, they've driven in more runs this month than any team in the Majors. We'll look for them to get the best of Ricky Nolasco who is 1-4 in his last 5 team starts at home. On the other hand, the resurgence of Tim Hudson continues. He is 5-1 with a 2.09 ERA. The Braves have gone 7-3 in Hudson's last 10 on the road moreover, they're 6-2 in Miami with Hudson as a matter of fact, Hudson sports an 8-2 mark with a 2.92 ERA in 15 starts vs FLA, including 6-1 in Miami. Atlanta the call.

                              INSIDER ANGLES

                              --------------------------------------------------------------------------------
The casual bettor may be questioning how the Phoenix Suns could be getting this many points in this game after winning the last two games at home to even up their series with the Los Angeles Lakers at 2-2

However, this line makes much more sense when you consider that the Suns have not come close to winning a game in Los Angeles all year, and they cannot possibly win thus series without winning one game there. We do not like their prospects of doing so, despite what they did back home in the desert.

The Suns have now played four games at Staples Center this season, two during the regular year and the first two games of this series. Well, they lost the two regular season visits by 19 and 20 points respectively, and then when it counted most, they lost the first two games of this series by 21 and 12 points. There is a reason the Lakers finished with the best record in the West, and they are a perfect 7-0 straight up at home in the playoffs while winning by an average of +11.6 points.

This is not unfamiliar territory for the Lakers either, as you need to go back only to the first round this season against the Oklahoma City Thunder. Just like this series, the home teams won the first four games, except that the Thunder were actually more competitive than the Suns in the first two games at Staples. Then, in the pivotal Game 5 with the series at 2-2, the Lake Show erupted for a 24-point romp and never looked back.

Look for a similar scenario here, with the Lakers again winning by double-digits returning home for the biggest game in the series so far.

                              NBA Thursday Pick: Lakers -7.5
