    Today's TIP OF THE DAY:

Game: Milwaukee Brewers at LA Angels

    Current Line: LA Angels (-155)

    Play On: LA Angels (-155)

    Inside the Board Room:
yesterday we went against the Angels and realized instead that this team is on a roll. They are 10-3 in the month of June and swept thier corsstown rivals in inter-league play over the weekend. Couple that with an up-and-down Brewers, who are certainly still trying to find their identity this season. Milwaukee has a bit of difficulty with left-handers and the Angels' Joe Saunders was excellent in his last two outings yeilding only 2 earned runs in 15 innings pitched.
Take the Angels to continue to roll!

      Andrew Bucciarelli
      35-15 run (70%)
      Sat 2-1
      Sun 2-1

1* St Louis -300 over Seattle Parlay with San Fran -200 over Baltimore
Wainwright didn't have his best stuff against the Dodgers on Wednesday, when he allowed four runs on eight hits over six innings, along with a season-high five walks and six strikeouts. He uncharacteristically struggled with his control and needed 113 pitches to get through those six innings. Wainwright has never faced the Mariners in his six-year career with the Cardinals.
Sanchez took the loss in his last outing against Cincinnati, giving up three runs on seven hits in five innings. It was the third straight outing in which Sanchez failed to pitch longer than 6 1/3 innings, although he had won his previous two starts. Sanchez has never faced the Orioles, but is 3-5 with a 3.39 ERA in 19 Inter league appearances (seven starts).

2* San Diego -110 over Toronto
Garland rebounded from his worst outing of the season, when the Phillies tagged him for six runs, against the Mets but still took the loss as he was out dueled by Jonathon Niese. The six-inning, three-run outing at Citi Field was a good sign for Garland, who has been mediocre away from spacious PETCO Park. His ERA is an amazing 1.15 at home, but goes up to 4.39 on the road. The numbers suggest Garland has been somewhat lucky at home and somewhat unlucky on the road as opponents' batting average on balls in play (BABIP) is .229 and .321, respectively. He's pitching on three days' rest.

With Wainright in the rubber, and the ML being at -300, its a sure lock that St Louis will get out of a slump they have been in for sometime. Look for an early lead and a steady performance on the mound by Wainright and cash in on my pick.

5* Grand Slam - Milwaukee / Los Angeles Over 9.5

Angels Blueprint is being copied as their rival teams are putting a bigger emphasis on Defense & Pitching. Angels have won at least (92) games in each of the past (6) seasons. Tonight's starter Joe Saunders is (6-2) Over the Total in his past (8) home starts and the Halos are (7-3-2) Over the Total in their past dozen Inter-League home games.

Milwaukee MGR Ken Macha is at best a middle-of-the-road skipper and he rely's heavily on sluggers Prince Fielder and Ryan Braun are one of best lefty-righty combos at the dish in the National League. Casey McGehee is a dangerous fastball hitter as the third sacker and rookie Alcides Escobar is ready for regular shortstop duty. Centerfielder Carlos Gomez is a good leather-man between two outfielders whose names don’t come up in Golden Glove discussions.

The "Brew Crew" has gone Over the Total at a (20-5-1) ATS rate in their past (26) Monday games and at a (8-1-1) ATS rate in Randy Wolf's past (10) road starts.Let the scoring begin at the "Big A".

Game : Milwaukee Brewers at Anaheim Angels (MLB) 10:05pm EST

Prediction : Anaheim Angels -1.5 / Joe Saunders must start.

Analysis : Randy Wolf has only faced the Angels twice in his career with poor results as he owns a 6.35 ERA vs the Halos. His last seven starts overall haven’t been any better as his 6.64 ERA clearly shows. The Brewers are 22-47 as a dog in the first game of a series.
Los Angeles starts Joe Saunders who has been excellent as of late. His last seven starts have resulted in a 2.63 ERA. The Angels are 29-11 when Saunders starts the opening game of a series and the league overall is 45-19 as a home favorite after a one run victory. After winning 16 and 17 games the past two seasons Saunders is back in the groove in 2010. He should have little problem shutting down the free swinging Brewer bats.

The value is here with this play. Young O's pitcher Chris Tillman has shown signs of success and Sanchez is the perfect pitcher for the Orioles to do well against as he is very wild at times. All stats point to San Francisco and ultimately it will lead you to a trap.
