I wanted to fade Justin Masterson coming off his complete game domination of Boston last week. That was a big revenge game for him against his former team and that means that this start has letdown written all over it. The Tribe is 5-17 in his last 22 starts so I have no problem betting against them. The Mets have lost five of six Johan Santana starts. That will change. This was my favorite play of the day but I had to lower the rating because New York has been so bad on the road. But the lefty should be able to take care of a lefty-laden lineup of Indians that frankly aren't up to snuff.

2-Unit Play. Take #966 Boston (-1.5, -105) over Arizona (7 p.m., Tuesday, June 15)
Here is another team - Arizona - that is just terrible on the road. And I'm looking for a bounce back performance out of Clay Buchholz. He's a strikeout pitcher with great movement going up against a team that loves to strike out. Arizona is just 6-14 on the road recently and they are not a strong Interleague Play team. Ian Kennedy is coming into his own...in the N.L. West. Now he's going back into the A.L. East and that's a whole different matter. Sox getting tougher at home and won't let this one get away.

2-Unit Play. Take #972 Minnesota (-150) over Colorado (8 p.m., Tuesday, June 15)
Here we are backing another dominating home team against another team that has really, really struggled in Interleague Play. And until breaking out in a rain-soaked series with slumping Toronto the Rockies really just hadn't been playing that well altogether. The Twins just continue to roll at home and I think that they will get all over Aaron Cook. The Twins are 57-22 in Interleague play while the Rockies are 27-56 on the road in Interleague play.

1.5-Unit Play. Take #953 Chicago White Sox (-120) over Pittsburgh (7 p.m., Tuesday, June 15)
The White Sox and Pirates have played three straight years prior to this and the White Sox are 8-3. Going back further they are 12-5 against the Pirates, who have been a sinking ship. The White Sox have won five of seven. Are they catching a rush? Let's hope so. But I think that regardless they find a way to get a win against the Pirates.

Even though the Angels are banged up they are still 13-4 in their last 17 games and they got humiliated last night. I don't think they will take too kindly to that. This should be a higher scoring game and I think that will favor the home team and favor the club with more depth in the bullpen. Dave Bush is 20-42 in his road starts and 6-22 as a road dog. The Angels are 44-19 in Interleague play and they have always found a way to back Ervin Santana at home.

Note: The Dodgers begin a Massive Road venture that will see them play their next 15 of 18 away from Chevez Ravine and this stretch could make or break their season. They lost all 3 to the Angels in their recent homestand and I am sure that is not sitting well right now with these guys. A day off and a pitcher on the mound that they have hit very well. LAD will be in teir best hitting posture as they face a righty tonight and Harang is simply not the pitcher he used to be. His K's are way down this year and way down of late, despite throwing his best games to date. He just does not have "The Stuff" to K batters when needed and he is not working well inside the strikezone either. I know it sound ludricrous to be down on a guy who has allowed just 5 runs over 18 innings but the numbers are somewhat masked by what is really happening. We have to keep things in perspective and his last 3 thrown games have been verses SF, Houston, and the Nats. The task will be much tougher verses LAD who has handled this team for a long time, who has hit Harang as well as any NL Team, and who has a guy on the mound that is coming off his best performance of the year. LAD's turnaround has been in part to their Bullpen Work which has been as good as anyone's over the last 20 games. We have a lot of things going for us in this contest including the fact that LA hits very well at this venue. Harang is going to have to show me that he can pitch well verses the team he will face tonight and in his form this year, that is not likely I think

8-26-1 O/U last 6 years: All NBA Playoff home teams in Games 4, 5, 6, or 7 playing off 3 or more "Unders" in a row (Lakers). If the OU line is 193 < points, these games have gone 3-121 O/U.... and a PERFECT 0-10 O/U if the host is from the WESTERN CONFERENCE.

2-10 O/U: All NBA Playoff GAME SIX home teams (Lakers) playing off 3+ "Unders" in a row. When the OU line is 194 < points, our results are 1-8 O/U.

With a couple of back-to-home WINS in a row under their belts, the Underdogs CELTICS are now in the drivers seat.

1-9 O/U since 1994: All NBA Playoff GAME SIX road teams pla‚ying off BB SU and ATS wins in a row (Celtics). Since the 2002 season, these teams are a PERFECT 0-6 O/U.

It's unusual for a major site change when both teams come in with only ONE day of rest.
4-16 O/U last 4 years: All NBA Playoff GAME SIX home teams with only ONE day of rest (Lakers)... when the OU line is 190 < points. And in Rounds 2, 3 or 4, these games have gone 1-10 O/U.

Finally, let's look at the '4.6' game specifically. That would be ROUND 4 / GAME 6....

Something has to give. Look to Game 1 of the NBA finals, LA pushed the ball, attacked the boards and shot well at home with Gasol and Bryant taking charge. Expect Game 6 in LA to have the homecourt behind a riotous crowd in full swing as LA faces elimination and they will play their best game of the past 4 games at home. I expect Kobe to take over and for the rim to be contested better, and for LAs backcourt to push the ball hard all night, which will take the Boston bench out of it in terms of momentum. Look at it for what it is, the best team in the NBA, at home, their back against the wall, and pissed off about their fall from grace the past 2 games, it adds up to an ass whipping by LA in this one setting up an epic Game 7.
