The Cincinnati Reds will face off against the St. Louis Cardinals and right-hander Chris Carpenter tonight at Great American Ball Park in Cincinnati.

The hot Reds have won eight of their last 10 games and are 33-23 at home this season and will send Mike Leake (7-3, 3.86 ERA), to the mound. Leake is 1-2 with a 6.06 ERA in his last three starts and is 1-0 with a 3.00 ERA in one career starts against the Cardinals.

St. Louis has won six of their last 10 games, but just 23-31 away from home this season. The Cardinals will counter with Chris Carpenter (12-3, 2.91 ERA). The right-hander is 1-0 with a 2.01 ERA in his last three starts and is 10-3 with a 1.96 ERA in 16 career starts against the Reds.
