6-Unit Play. Take #229 Houston (-3) over Washington (4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19)
This play is from the 99 System and it is my NFL Game of the Month.
Houston dominated the defending AFC Champions last week and I think that momentum is going to carry over this week. The Texans ran for nearly 300 yards last week and didn't have to rely on their passing game. But I think they will have a big game through the air this week. Washington is in just as big of a letdown spot as the Texans are. Washington won last week over its rival, but they probably shouldn't have. Dallas made a ton of mistakes and the Redskins couldn't move the ball at all. If you remember, Houston beat up Dallas pretty badly in Week 3 of the preseason, when the No. 1's were on the field for most of the game for both teams. Both teams run the same system on offense but Houston runs it much, much better because they have been using it for years. Washington is still using the system and the Texans defense should be a few steps ahead of them. Washington is just 4-11 ATS at home and the Texans are the hot team. They win this one big.

$2000.00 Take #233 New England (-1.5) over New York (1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19)
This play is from the 99 System.
The cat is out of the bag about the Jets right now. They lost on Monday night and I think that game was deflating. Now this team is dealing with injuries and they have to face a Patriots club that just blew out a tough Cincinnati team. The Patriots have dominated this series. They are 10-1 ATS in their last 11 games in New York and they are 11-4 ATS in this series overall. Also, the road team in this series is a strong 20-7 ATS in the last 27 meetings. I will take Tom Brady over Mark Sanchez and I think that the Patriots will send the Jets to 0-2.
$700.00 Take #211 Baltimore (-1.5) over Cincinnati (1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19)
This play is from the 99 System.
This is a big revenge game for the Ravens because they got swept by the Bengals last year. I think that the Ravens are one of the top teams in the AFC and they have some momentum after their big win on Monday night. The Bengals are going in the opposite direction. They are a team with a lot of expectations and they were blown out in New England last week. They have to be very nervous about this game because they don't want to fall to 0-2. And a nervous team doesn't play its best. The Ravens defense is twice as strong as New England's and the Patriots were able to shut down Cincy last week. I like Baltimore to take care of business here and we will cash in the process.
$600.00 Take #222 Atlanta -6.5 over Arizona (1p.m. Sunday, Sept. 19 )
Atlanta lost a tough game last week in Pittsburgh but they will enjoy being home this week. The Falcons are a team with high expectations and this is a great chance for them to finally let their offense cut loose. The Cardinals were really sloppy last week in their win over the Rams, but that was a game that they could have lost to one of the worst teams in the NFL.
$700.00 Take #224 Minnesota (-5.5) over Miami (1 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19)
Minnesota had extra time to get ready for this game and I think that they will play even better on Sunday than they did in New Orleans. Brett Favre has had time to get on the same page with his receivers this week and the Vikings will be much more of a test for the Dolphins than the Buffalo offense was last week. Minnesota is 6-2 ATS in its last eight games while Miami is 2-5 ATS in its last seven.
$500.00 Take #228 Denver (-3.5) over Seattle (4 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19)
Seattle was actually lost the stats battle last week in their win over San Francisco. And they were able to capitalize on the Niners disorganization and their turnovers last week. Seattle has one of the best home field advantages in the league but this is not a good road team and this will be Pete Carroll's first road game as a head coach of this group. Seattle is 1-8 ATS away from home.
$400.00 Take #237 New Orleans (-5.5) over San Francisco (8 p.m., Monday, Sept. 20)
This play is from my 99 System.
San Francisco looked terrible last week in Seattle and I don't think that they can fix all of those problems in one week. New Orleans is the defending champions for a reason and they have had extra time to prepare for the Niners defense. New Orleans scored its fewest points since Sean Payton has been the coach last week against the Vikings. I think that the offense is going to be much sharper this time out.
