3 Unit Play Take #962 Florida +110 over Cincinnati (7:10) **GAME TWO OF THE DOUBLEHEADER**:
The Florida Marlins had game one of this series well in hand last night before letting it slip away in the ninth inning. They proved in that one they are almost on par with the Cincinnati Reds, as the Reds also have nothing to play for these days.
Cincinnati goes with right-hander Bronson Arroyo in this one. Arroyo has struggled all season long and the Reds haven't done much when he has been on the hill. Cincinnati has won just two of his last seven starts overall and two of his last ten in this small favorite role like he is in today. Combine this fact with the Reds offense is nowhere near as good when going up against a right-handed starter like they face in this one here as they are hitting over 30 points worse this season against RHP.
The Florida Marlins are limping to the finish line and along the way they are trying to answer some important questions going into next year. One of those questions involves today's starter Chris Volstad who was recently sent down to the minors and was called up a few short weeks later. Since his return Volstad has looked stronger in the all important strikeout department with 14 k's in his last two outings that covered only 11 innings of work, a huge improvement for a guy who was averaging less than 6 strikeouts per 9 innings before being called back up to the big club. The long ball has always been Volstad's problem in the past and if he could get that under control he could be a solid contributor to the Marlins starting staff.
The Reds scored five huge runs with two outs last night and had no business winning that game. They are completely out of the playoff race and there is no way they should be favored in this one with a starter as bad as Arroyo going for them. Plus add in the fact they are going up against a righty which knocks them down a few more pegs overall also in this one. Nice solid dog price with an improving pitcher at home here. Take the Marlins. Another winning week on the NFL pre-season gridiron last weekend as I won my pre-season Game of the Year and bumped my record to 10-3 in the NFL pre-season the past two years. Many say these games are meaningless exhibition contests but from an advantage gambling perspective there is lots of money to be made with these plays and I have done just that over the past few years. Still time to join in the winning as I plan on closing out this pre-season with a bang this week in the NFL. Don't miss out as I have a few key games circled and am ready to go for this coming weekend on the
