The Rays are as high as any team could be right now, but their pitching matchup tonight will allow Texas to put up a good amount of runs. Tampa is red hot with their bats and should bring energy from their game the other night into this game. I expect both teams to put this game over the total rather quickly. Take the Over.

This is playoff baseball. You could not ask for a better pitching matchup. This is not the same Yankees team that it once was with all of those memorial comebacks late in the game that we are so used to come playoff time. New York is going to have to win their games against starting pitching and I do not think they have the lineup to create the same magic that they did for the past decade. Justin Verlander is the the best pitcher in baseball. That’s the bottom line. This is what playoff baseball is all about. Take the Tigers.

Full day slated of baseball as we look to get on a hot run for the MLB Playoffs with both underdogs today in the Rays and Tigers. *

After last weekend and last night's losing selection, we will most likely keep our play size small this weekend as we look to turn things around.**

We've been down more than 12 units before in NCAA Football and still made profit on the season, so I'm not the least bit worried.* We will get hot very soon, so continue to follow the unit structure and we will slowly climb our way back to profitable.

BYU's offense has looked like a mess this season, and there haven't been any indications that anything will turn around soon.* The passing game is among the nation's least efficient and the ground game has yet to get going.* To BYU's credit, they have played Ole Miss, Texas, Utah, and UCF, so they have played some pretty good defensive units.* Utah State beat BYU 31-16 last year, so the Cougars have some revenge factor going into Friday Night.

Turnovers have cost Utah State from a potential 4-0 start to the season, as they have six fumbles in their last two games and barely lost to Colorado State and Auburn because of turnovers.* Utah State's ground game has been phenomenal this season, and they should be able to put up points against a BYU defense that has just four sacks in the first four games.

I would like Utah State to win this game outright, but this team has absolutely bombed during crunch time this year.* BYU's offense is just so inconsistent right now that it's tough to see them covering more than a touchdown against Utah State.* Utah State is good at getting into shootouts, so a backdoor cover (if needed) is a very good chance if you can get +8.* I think BYU will squeeze by with a tough hard-fought home victory, but Utah State definitely has the offensive firepower to keep this within a touchdown.

It looks like Michael Vick is going to play. Reports are that he practiced Wednesday and the swelling has gone down. With him in the game and trest of the Eagles playmakers, I expect the Eagles to score points here. They have posted 26 or more points in nine of their last 12 games. The Niners offense has been steadily improving. They come into this one averaging 23.3 points per game themselves, and the Philadelphia defense is not their strong suit. That was evident last game when they got pushed around. They haven't yet figured out how to best utilize Nnamdi Asomugha who hasn't adjusted very well to playing zone. The Eagles stop-unit has allowed 25.7 ppg in their last 13 games. The Eagles often find themselves in shootouts vs. winning teams. Under Andy Reid, they are 51-36 OVER vs. winning teams including 35-16-1 in their last 52 such games.
