Could provide positive returns based on respectable recent Equibase Speed Figs with an average of 82. NIGHT TO REMEMBER - With a solid 73 speed figure last time out, will unquestionably be a factor in this contest. Is a strong contender based on numbers put up as of late under today's conditions.

ABSOLUTE CHAOS - This gelding is in good physical condition, having run a good race on Aug 17th, finishing second. Don't often see a favorable ROI like +63. This jockey/handler twosome has done well together over the last twelve months. Horse has improved at least two speed fig points in last two races. I look for that to continue in this event. CLAY'S BLACK OPAL - Have to give this gelding a chance. Ran a strong effort last out within the last month. Sprinters that come back to the races quickly are generally good plays. The last speed rating of 95 is the highest last race speed fig in the field. Gelding took a little vacation, but has been racing into shape. TIGER DAD - This gelding is in nice form. Ended up second on August 24th. Jockey jumped on this gelding's back for the first try on August 24th. Should know the animal even better this time. Earnings per start (EPS) is something that I think can be a very valuable selection factor. This animal is ranked number 1 in this group.

LAPIS LAZULI - 5/1 is not offering enough value for any thoroughbred in a sprint of 6 furlongs that hasn't finished in the money in a short distance event of late. TEE BURNS - Going to have a hard go of it with all the other front-runners in this race.

CHASING COLTON - Last workout was the second fastest of the day. Certainly on edge for a good one today. Last race was at Saratoga in a race with a class figure of 77. Dropping considerably in class rating in today's event puts him in a solid position right here. I like this colt. Has the top (EPS) earnings per start in this event.

Vulnerable Contenders: #2 SCHEDULING DUDE (ML=5/2), #6 SARATOGA WARRIOR (ML=3/1), #3 PANDEMIC HERO (ML=9/2),

SCHEDULING DUDE - This pony didn't go to the front end and didn't close ground in the stretch last time he ran. The Brain tells me to keep away from horses in sprint contests that haven't hit the board in short distance contests of late. This horse ran a pedestrian speed rating last race out. He shouldn't run much better and will likely get beat today running that number. SARATOGA WARRIOR - 3/1 is not priced right for any animal in a sprint of 6 furlongs that hasn't finished in the money in a sprint event lately. The speed rating last time out doesn't fit very well in this event when I look at the Equibase class figure of today's race. Mark this entrant as a vulnerable contender. PANDEMIC HERO - This gelding gave a less than rousing performance last time out. In any contest of 6 furlongs, I like to bet on a contender that has been sharp in sprint contests of late. When looking at today's Equibase class figure, he will have to register a better speed fig than last time out to compete in this dirt sprint.

GO NINE O - Take a look at this contender's average speed figure of 71 and compare to today's class rating. Looks like a competitive wager. Seems to have a competitive class advantage based on the competition he has raced against. JAKE LOEWEN - Worth considering here given the ratings in the speed figure department alone.

If performance in the last race is any indicator, this horse will have a very good shot this time. High last race TrackMaster Speed Rating.
