Vancouver @ Chicago (8:15 PM EST)
Play On: Vancouver -170
The Vancouver Canucks travel to Chicago to take on the Blackhawks on Tuesday night. Vancouver is 2-1-2 this year while Chicago comes in with a 2-3-1 overall record on the season. Chicago is 2-10 SU last 12 games overall including 1-4 SU at home last 5 games. Vancouver is 8-1 overall vs Chicago past 3 years including 5-0 when playing in Chicago and going a little farther back Vancouver has won 10 of the past 11 meetings in this series. We'll recommend a small play on Vancouver tonight! Thanks and good luck, Rocky
Tuesday NHL Free play. My selection is on Nashville-112 over Boston at 8:45 pm et on Tuesday.
The Predators are off to a miserable 0-5 start and will look to salvage the finale of a four-game homestand as they host the Bruins, who are wrapping up a three-game road trip, on Tuesday in Nashville. Note that Boston has collected three of a possible four points on its current trip. With that being said, the Bruins are off to a rather uneven 3-3 start to the campaign, with just two wins in regulation time. It's not a stretch to say that the Preds are a far better team than their record indicates. With so many offseason additions it was always going to take some time to mesh. I look for them to play with a real sense of urgency despite it still being very early in the season. Take Nashville.
*2 Star Play on Oilers ML -130* The Edmonton Oilers were top three or four in everyone's power rankings coming into the season. They started the season slowly, but have been playing better hockey of late. The upside of this team is still very high. The marketplace has already dropped the rating on this team too much in my opinion. Carolina is a respectable team, but I think Edmonton is rounding into form. Take Edmonton.
Key Angle: It's important to remember that Ricky never makes a bet on any game based on just one angle. In order to make the grade, all his premium picks must meet several important criteria. He doesn't share all his secrets within his analysis, instead he chooses to reveal only the angle that he feels is the most significant. Here in this game the recent history of these two teams is particularly significant.
- Minnesota are 8-4 SU in their last 12 games against LA Lakers.
- LA Lakers are 1-4 SU in their last 5 games.
- LA Lakers are 1-5 SU in their last 6 games against an opponent in the Northwest Division
I'll lay the short number on the road with Minnesota to open the 2024-25 NBA season. Lakers are such a huge public team and there's almost always a tax on them early in the year. Slow starts have been a theme for the Lakers since LeBron came to town. In fact, they have lost both SU and ATS in all 6. On the flip side, I still really like this Timberwolves teams post Towns trade. They have incredible depth surrounding one of the best young talents in the league in Anthony Edwards. He's only gotten better with each passing season. Got to think he's going to be amped up to open the season with a statement win on the road against LeBron. Give me the Timberwolves -1!
