I'm going to play the Giants +165 on the money line against the Cowboys. I think we are getting some great value here with New York at this price. I know Dallas is coming off a big upset win on the road against the Commanders, but no way should they be laying more than a field goal against any team with Cooper Rush as their starting QB. The benching and releasing of Daniel Jones has created a big negative buzz (rightfully so) with the Giants. You definitely have to question their motivation going forward, but I feel pretty confident they are going to lay it all out there against the Cowboys. The other big thing for me is DeVito is a long shot to play. They will instead go with Drew Lock, who I believe is a massive upgrade over DeVito. It also helps they are facing a Dallas defense that ranks 31st in the NFL against the run, giving up 150.5 ypg. Give me the Giants +165!
Thursday CBB Free play. My selection is on Northern Iowa plus the points (+3.5 -109) over North Texas at 8 pm ET on Thursday.
Northern Iowa enters this contest rested and riding the momentum of an impressive 82-56 victory over Western Illinois. The extended layoff should have allowed the Panthers to regroup and prepare thoroughly for this rematch with North Texas. UNI has been competitive early this season, and its balanced offense and defensive discipline give it the tools to challenge the Mean Green Eagles.
North Texas comes in at 5-1, but its narrow 58-55 win over Oregon State on Monday exposed some offensive inconsistencies. The Eagles rely heavily on their defensive intensity to control games, but Northern Iowa’s ability to stretch the floor and its efficient offensive approach could neutralize that edge. Additionally, UNI has revenge on its mind after falling 83-77 in this matchup last year, giving it extra motivation to stay competitive throughout.
Take Northern Iowa. Projected score: Northern Iowa 67, North Texas 64.
