HIGHLY DESIRABLE (IRE) - Looking at today's Equibase class figure, this horse is meeting an easier bunch than last race out at Santa Anita. This animal has the speed, and no one may be able to keep up with her. This filly likes to be near the lead. Today's race is a shorter trip and should enhance her chances. The latest rating of 83 is the top last race speed rating in the field. MOCKTAILS ANYONE - I like this filly a lot here. She shows a lot of consistency, finishing in the money frequently. This filly's has a great shot against these thoroughbreds in today's contest. Her handler has an excellent win percentage when moving horses from the dirt to the turf.

SHE'S MUY MUY - Hasn't been doing anything at all recently. Finished fifth in her most recent race with a common speed fig. When I look at today's Equibase class figure, it would take an improved performance to score after that in this field. MAGENS BAY - This filly didn't do too much last time. This filly recorded a speed figure in her last event which likely isn't good enough in today's event. CLASSY LASS - Don't think this steed is worth 6/1 in this affair.

Vulnerable Contenders: #9 MARIA SAYS SO (ML=7/2), #4 ONTHISHARVESTMOON (ML=5/1), #5 JOB'S NOT FINISHED (ML=6/1),

MARIA SAYS SO - Didn't hit the board on Oct 14th at Parx Racing. Followed it up with another less than stellar outing. ONTHISHARVESTMOON - This thoroughbred just hasn't looked sharp recently. Tough to bet on a racer that loses so frequently. JOB'S NOT FINISHED - Equibase speed figures of 51/33/30 are going on a downward course. If you keep selecting these kind of 'hanger' types, you're going to be dissatisfied most every time. Finished second in her most recent race with a pedestrian speed rating. When I look at today's class figure, it would take an improved performance to prove victorious after that in this bunch.

Tough to pass on this gelding with Alvarez in the saddle. MISTER WAYSIDE - Should go off at a solid price and has some positive things going for him. This gelding has a strong win percentage in dirt sprint races.

Trainer Holden moves this horse down in class ranks to face a weaker class today. Look for a solid race given the class advantage.

Top driver/trainer partnership, with one of the strongest ROI percents in this grouping. A COOL MOMENT - Might be there at a nice price tag. Very likely one to keep in your exotics.

Fair Grounds - Race #6

#5 The Jig Is Up	He might offer an OK midrange price off the Horseshoe Indianapolis tries, and he has the right kind of positional speed to be in a spot to get first jump at the turn in. Enough to like today.
#6 Initialize	Modest debut run from him in Lexington last month, but he's back with blinkers and that experience under his belt, and this doesn't feel like the deepest turf special weight spot we're going to see early this season. Capable.
#1 Sicilian Defense	He owns a couple running lines that would probably do the trick against a questionable bunch, but I have a mild worry about the way he has given away ground late in his last two and how he might do it again today if the pressing types don't back off him too long.
Race Summary	The Jig Is Up should be in a good spot right up on Sicilian Defense, and I am thinking his recent lines will transfer well enough here while offering a playable price.

Fair Grounds - Race #7

#2 Chapel Street	She ran on well in the debut despite not having the easiest trip that day, so there might be some reasonable upside this time around for a barn that excels in these kinds of local spots. Start with her.
#4 Exington	She has been kind of a grinder so far, but that may play well enough here as she makes her third start against a group of fillies still trying to punch their tickets to the upcoming stakes series here. Tough read, but she wouldn't surprise.
#6 My Sweet Love	She should be in a good spot near the top in a race without a ton of serious early burn, and she has at least turned in a few consistent tries ahead of this since getting around two turns.
Race Summary	Chapel Street has the right profile to score here for a top team as she brings a useful debut line with her. Exington is the wildcard for me -- wouldn't be a shock to see her move way up in a hurry today.

Fair Grounds - Race #9

#8 From Scratch	She gets Louisiana breds for the first time today, and she has a little bit of positional pace in a race that doesn't have a ton of pace lined up. Something like the two-back tracking run might do the job.
#1 Mo Diva	She's back off the bench after a few decent tries here going long last season, and I wonder if she'll be along too late today while setting herself up to graduate around two turns next out.
#9 Girl From De Bayou	I worry that she doesn't have a lot of legit sprint speed, but she might be able to hustle enough to get in the mix at this trip if nobody else forces the issue too much early. Bit of a reach, but there's a chance she runs them off their feet.
Race Summary	From Scratch brings a couple of interesting tries with her to this one, and I think the move in with Louisiana-bred friends is going to do the trick for her today.
