Kudos to Tulane and their coaching staff. The Green Wave had a wonderful season. They finished up at 9-4, both straight up and against the spread. But unfortunately, two of their losses and no covers have come in their last two outings, as they were shellacked by the Memphis Tigers, 34-24 as a double-digit fav, and then got thumped by the Army Black Knights, 35-14 as a five-point favorite. To make matters worse, their starting quarterback, Darian Mensah entered the transfer portal, and is not expected to play here. Meanwhile, the Florida Gators, who many thought had one of the toughest schedules in college football, started their campaign off at 4-5 SU. Then mid-November arrived, and they took down three notables to close out their season; LSU, Mississippi, and Florida State. They also covered all three of those games. As a matter of fact, they were 8-1 ATS their L9 ATS. They have made us sportsbettors some big money. Granted, Tulane lost their starting quarterback, but they are known as a rushing offense. Something I did notice when looking at their schedule, when it came down to crunch time, they fell way short. Earlier this week this line was -14, then fell to -12, and as of post Thursday early, dropped to 10.5. Obviously, money is coming in on the Green Wave. However, I do feel the Gators are coming in here with more momentum, and with a lot more to prove. Please remember that on the regular basis, they face better opposition. Take Florida. Thank you.
I will be looking at the total when The Montreal Canadiens are on the road to take on the Detroit Red Wings. times last season, with Detroit winning three of the four matchups. Montreal ranks 23rd in goals per game and last in shots per game. They have scored three or fewer goals in nine of their last 10 games. There defense isn’t any better as they rank 31st in goals against per game and 25th in shots against per game. Detroit's offense hasn’t been much better as the rank 25th in goals and 31 in shots per game. They have scored two or fewer goals in five of their last 10 games. On the defensive side, they are 24th in goals against and 28th in shots against per game. Neither team is prolific in finding the back of the net. I can’t see either team scoring a lot in this one.
This is the ultimate letdown spot for the Milwaukee Bucks after winning the NBA Cup in Las Vegas. I think they come out very flat tonight, especially since they will be without Damian Lillard for this one.
The Cleveland Cavaliers should be motivated to beat the NBA Cup champs tonight. They are clearly the fresher, healthier team after having the last three days off while playing just their 3rd game in 12 days as well.
The Cavaliers are 23-4 SU & 19-8 ATS this season, including 14-1 SU & 11-4 ATS at home. There will be a time in the near future the Cavaliers are overvalued after this fast start, but tonight isn't the night. Bet the Cavaliers Friday.
