#608 ASA PLAY ON Pittsburgh -3.5 over Louisville, Saturday at 12 PM ET - Great bounce back type game here for a very good Pitt team that lost @ Duke on Tuesday. It was an ugly loss as well (76-47 loss) which should put a little extra fire in this team on Saturday. That loss dropped them to 12-3 on the season with their only losses coming to Duke, Wisconsin, and Mississippi State all away from home. One positive from their loss @ Duke was the Panthers got key contributor Damian Dunn (Houston transfer) back in the lineup he missed 7 straight games. That’s a big boost for this team that was already very good. Louisville is coming off a solid home win over Clemson at home on Tuesday and they’ve won 5 in a row. The Cards have been decent away from home with a 2-1 true road record but this is a tough spot for them vs a very motivated team. In their game @ Kentucky, who rates almost identical to Pitt, the Cards were +10 and lost by 8 but now we’re getting the Panthers laying much less than that in a really good situation in our opinion. Pitt has better efficiency numbers both offensively & defensively and they are at home in a good spot. The Panther have won each of their last 3 home games vs Louisville by double digits and we like them to cover on Saturday.
Saturday NBA Free play. My selection is on Atlanta plus the points (+4.5) over Houston at 3:10 p.m. ET on Saturday.
The Rockets have been riding high, reeling off three straight wins, including consecutive covers on their current road trip. While they’ve shown strong form, this early start in Atlanta poses a challenge as Houston could be due for a letdown after their recent success.
Meanwhile, the Hawks enter this contest looking to turn things around after dropping five consecutive games against the spread. They’re coming off a road loss in Phoenix on Thursday and should be eager to rebound in front of their home crowd. Atlanta’s respectable 10-7 straight-up home record this season is worth noting, as it highlights their ability to perform better on their home floor.
Expect the Hawks to put together a stronger effort and push the Rockets in what should be a closely contested matchup.
Take Atlanta. Projected score: Atlanta 112, Houston 108.
Saturday card has an early 6* from a 18-0 system and our Double Perfect Wild Card total going late. In Hoops there is a TIER 1 Side and a top Total both in College hoops. NBA Comp play below
The NBA Comp play for Saturday is on Phoenix -11 -105 at 5;10 eastern. The Suns are playing better now with Beal coming off the bench and tonight they are home for a Utah team they already beat twice on the road. The Jazz are in a 78% play against system for road dogs of more then 10 that are off back to back home dog losses with covers in both losses vs an opponent like Phoenix that are off a favored win. Look for Phoenix to cover. Rob V-
