What do people think about Makdessi vs. Njokuani? I was thinking Makdessi might be worth a bet at +170, but he came in a couple pounds overweight...

I like Makdessi as a dog and just grabbed him at +200. Njokunani is a good-but-not-great fighter who is 2-4 in his last 6. At 2-to-1 or close to it, I think Makdessi is definitely worth a play.

Post event thoughts:


1. Apparently acheiving a blackbelt in Tetsushin Ryu JuJutsu does not invilve learning how to hip escape, recover guard, or move at all on the ground.

2. I am sad to see Torres get passed up in the division. He was one of my favorite guys to watch, and I fear that he relegated to gatekeeper now.

3. Rory MacDonald is a beast, a total beast. I want to see him fight a pure wrestler (not future champ), but if he does get on top, he just goes straight for the rape. So far, he has only fiught guys that pretty much stay down if taken down. He has proved his submission defense is up to par, he can pass guard, and he has silverback gnp. I want to see how he does against someone who either can't take down, won't stay down, or tries to take him down.

4. I don't know what Rashad didn't try to wrestle a little more. I know he was stuffed when he tried, but it was late in the fight then. I would have liked to see him try to put Jones on his back or wear him down a bit. Hendo is going to get destroyed.

5. I don't undertand how anyone can allow Greg Jackson to train and corner them. I would bust out laughing at that waterfall stuff he was saying to JJ... he is almost as bad as that other homo that used to coach with him. I want that team to lose just because Jackson gets on my nerves a lot.

6. Rogan is a total fuckwad... I am getting to where I really can't stand listening to him. He was slurping all over Hominick for teh entire time that he was getting his ass kicked. He gave the same treatment to Mills. Guy is terrible.

Reminded me of Shields-GSP when Jake went for a few half ass TD attempts and then just gave up. Didn't understand it either.

because I paid $55 dollars to watch the event... not listen to an infomercial for Joe's favorite fighters. It is just stupid. It is bad enough I have to watch actual commercials during the event, but to listen to Joe talk nonsense the whole time, it is just annoying. He is on the world's biggest MMA platform, and he just abuses it.

It's his job to accentuate each fighter's strengths and paint them in the best light possible. It makes more sense to say, "Mills is a tough guy" or "Mills has true knockout power" than "Mills has no business in there. This fight sucks."
