Saw Batman today.

I actually thought it was pretty damn good and, even at almost three hours, it held my interest. I can't say it was perfect. I thought there were some pacing and script issues, and there were times where I was a little confused about exactly what was going on. But for the most part I was engaged.

I was worried about Hathaway, but I actually thought she did a pretty good job. Pfieffer in Batman Returns is still the best Catwoman of all time, though.

And Bane was a pretty damn compelling villain. Tom Hardy is such a bad ass. He put a shitload of weight on for this movie. From Inception to Warrior to Batman, he is really blowing up and proving himself to be a versatile performer.

Even though it was a much smaller film than its successors, I think that Batman Begins is still the best film of the franchise. But this is a satisfying conclusion.

Tom Hardy's performance in Bronson is probably his best to date. If you haven't seen it I would recommend it highly.
