I think it was Jimmy Kimmell who was walking up to black people on the streets and quoting Romney's plan, but saying it was Obama's and asking if they agree. Every black person said they did, lol.

That's hilarious. Jimmy Kimmel does some funny stuff. He also did the thing with the iPhone 4 and gave it to people who already had the iPhone 4 and told them it was iPhone 5. They were like, "yeah man, this is way better."

I finally broke down and bought a new laptop (had to, in order to stream Metamoris). Wow, I have been in the dark ages with my G Wireless and 2007 Toshiba. I still bought a clearance Gateway from Target, but it is like 1000x better and faster. Also, N Wireless actually reaches all corners of the house and doesn't drop out. I also dropped IE finally. What browser should I be using (I am using Chrome right now).

You may recall that the screen was broken and about 30% black. Also, the remaining 70% was all cracked.

But more importantly, I put it up in on the TV and had some people over, and needed something a little more reliable... there were several issues: 1) the G wireless didn't reach all the way upstairs very well (I could have just purchased a longer cable for the router though); 2) I would have had to invest in some wires and shit to get the picture on my TV, since there was no HDMI outlet (that's not true, I could get the picture, but not the sound and picture without some trouble); 3) the compute frequently just shut off completely dead and I had to take the battery out to revive it; 4) it was time for a new computer and having people over to watch an event seemed like a good motivator.

I understand it as a means of progress... like a barrier that has to be broken. But now that the barrier has been broken, I see no need to continue on that. If I was black, I would have probably voted for him in 2008 just because of that reason. But now, not so much... it is just more victim mentality justification, like the quote at the end "well, we have onlyhad one black president, call me when we have had 4 or 5". So does that mean that we have to put up with this racist victim shit for another 50 years? cmon man...

If anyone's interested, here's a small snippet (most of the first scene) from a short film project I'm doing for my Film Production I class. There's no dialogue and not much to this scene, as most of the "action" and story development pretty much kicks off right AFTER this. But I uploaded it to show a few people so I figured I'd post it here.

BTW, it's hard to tell, but yes that is IWS making a little cameo appearance.

Oh, and it's in HD so you're probably going to want to set it to 720P or higher.

Can't really comment on it too much yet. The camera work certainly looks better than when I film stuff. It made me thirsty for some Provo Girl beverage, ane made me think of the song "for emma" which is a great song:

Yes, well it's the technical aspects that I'm most concerned with at this point, so I was working hard to be competent with the camera, editing, lighting and sound. If I accomplished that much, then it's a success.
