Seafood has some good things in it. Another thing you might want to try is Hemp protein shakes. I have been doing a little reading about them and they seem like they are really good for you. I first saw them while watching a video about Rich Roll. He is a 45 year old ultramarathoner. He does 300 mile races. He is vegan as well and credits it with his ability to run so far. He makes smoothies everyday after his workouts with hemp + vegetables.
The hempseed shakes I have read about have a lot of amino acids, protein, fiber and omega 3's and omega 6's. Hemp is supposedly another super food. I am thinking about getting back into a gym routine and using that as an after workout protein shake.

probably, all things in moderation you know. But I don't really like it all that much and my wife has always been a vegetarian +seafood, so it is easier to just not eat it.Leave a comment:

Yeah I generally try to eat healthy but I love meat. It tasted delicious. I think if you ate meat once a week or something along those lines you would feel just as good.Leave a comment:

Boom, so there you go. I am getting plenty of protein which is usually the concern. I think I am good to go, and I am probably going to make it permanent but also occasionally eat sugar and seafood. Can't live my whole life without sugar, though I did make some pumpkin and oatmeal bars that were not that bad.Leave a comment:

Dairy is actually a bad way to get calcium. That calcium in dairy is added after the fact. I think it was added in during the 50's to help decrease the number of people with rickets. Milk actually does something to stop calcium absorbtion.5) I just have loose stool. Not diarrhea, but no solid solid logs of shit.
6) No. I am getting way more variety now than I was before. I am eating a lot of greens, cruciferous veggies, beans and nuts. But I also eat oats, brown rice, quinoa, and barley. I can't imagine what I would be missing- maybe calcium because no dairy, but I think legumes have calcium too.

5) When I eat a lot of veges I notice the same thing. I think it is because meat takes so long to digest. No logs? What do you mean? Your shit isn't solid? Please explain that one.
6) Do you worry about not getting any specific nutrients? Do you think you can become deficient in any?

3) I am not suprised by this. Jon Fitch almost went Vegan. He only eats meat a couple times a week. He says he feels like he is 20 again energy wise.I have officially been vegan+ no sugar + no wheat for 2 full weeks. Observations:
1) I am rich. It is super cheap eating beans and oatmeal and not eating out.
2) It is not hard. I like it and I think I am going to make it permanent with a few modifications.
3) I feel fucking great. I am bouncing off the walls with energy and sleeping really well. It might just be placebo, but there is noticeable difference.
4) I am skinny. I have lost 11 pounds in 14 days.
5) I shit a lot, and I haven't seen a log in the toilet since October 22.
6) Lentils are an amazing super food. I love them and they are delicious, cheap, and nutritious.
So far, veganism is a win.

It only makes you a bad american if you use that as a reason not to vote. And then, only if you later act like you did vote. I got this thing in the mail the other day that had all my neighbors on it and whether they voted in 2008 and 2010. To my surprise only me and 1 other person on the list of about 10 or 15 had voted.Leave a comment:

For what it's worth, the Intrade lines on the election are officially nuts. Unfortunately, I don't have my account funded, but it's got some guys with deep pockets betting Romney.
Romney is at 33% on Intrade, and around 25% at pretty much every other site, so even if you think Romney is going to win, there are arb opportunities all over.
[edit: And I should add that people who pay careful attention to the poll aggregators are setting the line around 90% for Obama.]Leave a comment:
