I installed in a virtual machine and played with it for about 20 minutes.
It has IE10 which looks like wannabe Chrome. Windows Explorer now has the ribbon style menu like Office 2010. Pretty standard until you hit the start button, which is when all hell breaks loose. The Metro interface is all bubbly, fruity and "app-based". It seems to lack the practical functionality that I crave. It would probably be ok on a touchscreen tablet and if I was a total noob, but on a laptop with a mouse and a keyboard it makes me want to die in a fire.Triple-six killers in this motherfucker runnin shitComment

It sucks that Linux is not 100% practical at this point, but it's really not. Netflix won't run and I read earlier that Adobe is going to discontinue Flash for Linux in the near future. I always figured Linux would keep moving forward even if slowly, but that's a big step back.
Speaking of Linux, this looks interesting:

I was actually gonna go today, but I decided I'm going to hold off and see it with a friend of mine when I to go San Diego.
Speaking of which, I'm leaving for San Diego next weekend. Should be there for 3 to 5 months. I'm giving up my apartment and everything so it's basically going to be like starting over when I come back.I heart cockComment

I really just need a change or scenery. My life has grown stagnant and I have had a hard time getting motivation together to do much about it.
My friend down there said he's kind of been feeling the same way and invited me to come stay with him over the summer.I heart cockComment

Thanks. I really hope it does me good. I'm looking at it as an opportunity to really kind of re-evaluate things, make some progress on some stuff that I want to work on, and get some momentum behind me. Because lately I've just felt uninspired.I heart cockComment
