Every president from now on will be called a failure no mattervwhat. The only chance is to get lucky and ride through an economic boom thatbthey have nothing to do with and then take credit for it. Obama will probably be reelected... he is going to the happenchance recipient ofva bull market, and people are going to think his policy had somethingbto do with the economy.... it happened to reagan and clinton. Carter and bush were on the wrong side of the cycle....

The economy is cyclical. It bulls and then corrects. Thats just the way it is... presidnts have nothing to do with it. Bush got a raw deal. Obama is getting a raw deal too. That is what they get for being bad enough human beings to get elected to major office.

I'll be honest, I don't see what is worse now than it was 4 years ago. Both presidents suck.

I think this is the big thing. He basically promised revolution and all people have gotten is the same ol' same ol'.

Depending on which side of the political spectrum you sit down, that failure might actually be seen as something of a success. But it's a lose-lose for Obama. Republicans might breathe a sigh of relief, but it's not like they'll actually support him. And Democrats feel like they've been stabbed in the back, so their support is waning as well.

The rate of unemployment in this country shot up like a rocket just three months after he was put in office. Since then it stayed between 9 and 10% until only this year. This month is the lowest it's been since February 2009. He promised us it wouldn't go above 8% if his stimulus package was passed, but 35 straight months saw the rate at 8% or higher. He didn't deliver on the housing crisis, the national deficit. Not only was the wrong about the federal budget deficit, he was off by a half a trillion dollars($498,000,000,000).

It's scary to think that the last time that rolled around we were actually in a BETTER position with what everyone thought was the worst president ever...

Not me. I was getting ready to lose my job of 11 years 4 years ago. I have finally clawed my way back to making almost as much as I was before and Im looking at a promotion around the end of the year.
