I am semi-retiring from gambling. I have been cashing out in chunks over the last few weeks.

I have just lost some interest in MMA, and also, as weird as it sounds, I have lost interest in money (or at least, I have lost interest in the pursuit of more money as a means to happiness). I have come to understand the marginal utility of money, and it has it been branching out in all areas of my life, requiring an overhaul olif my life system. Wagering on MMA is one of the final strongholds, as I actually enjoy the process somewhat.

So, I have taken my bankroll of around $10k all the way down to $500. I will just play for fun, building my $500 up to a few thousand and staring over. No need to worry, I will still be here to judge you and condemn your every bet.

No, it's not a phase. I have had a major shift in my way of thinking. Watching Tv (and MMA by extension) have been casualties, and also wagering.

I will post, I will watch, but for me the fun of betting was outgaming "the system"... but I realized that I can out game the system in a much more direct way- not playing. I don't mean outsmarting the books, I mean the whole entire consumer lifestyle.

Yeah, somewhat. It is not that though, I have experienced that many times... I have never really enjoyed "gambling". I only play to win... I don't play games of chance. I don't bet on WWE or any thing that I am not sure I am going to win at. I still like MMA, I still watch it, and I like training probably more than anything. But I just don't care about the reward of wagering anymore. If I were to be able to achieve a giant bankroll, where I could play all day and just place my bets... I don't think that would be the life that I want. So there is almost no point in playing... there is no endgame.

It is probably a mid-life crisis of some kind. I have told you guys I have been purging for a while, cutting everything back to a spartan level of subsistence. It has been coming for a while. It is not about MMA really, it is more about money (which is the only reason I bet). .

I think I will just roll it all together. I will continue the parlay game... but the bottom line is that I have stopped caring about winning money. So it is just as much fun for me to pretend to bet as it is to actually bet.

I'll be remaining conservative. I learned the hard way too many times that getting over-excited and making emotional type plays often doesn't pan out very well. But if your on the right side you can make a fuck ton of profit, I say go for it if you like the lines brotha man!

I do have the locks parlay project on the line for Stann and a bet on Gustaffson, though.
