My assumption is that you can go to just about any state and find at least a few pretty good guys. Keep in mind that the mid-West means Minneapolis . . . it means Chicago . . . there are some prominent cities in that region.

Then again, maybe I'm just underestimating Travis Fulton. I mean, he has kicked 247 dude's asses after all.

For all we know nobody is entering those competitions though. There may not be many quality places to train in the midwest anymore. Alot of martial artists make it a point to go to one coast or the other for proper training.

I dunno. Even Mississippi has Alan Belcher's place. Here in Utah we have Jeremy Horn's place and John Hackleman's new gym just a few minutes north of Salt Lake.

Granted, that's MMA and not MT, but I don't really think you have to travel for thousands of miles to find "proper training."

The point about people entering the competitions is an interesting one. I wonder about that, too. Although there SHOULD be people entering, considering the ISKA is one of--if not the premiere--kickboxing org in the US.

Are you competing? Or just going to take in the spectacle?

boo. I was going to watch you lift up stuff that is heavier than other stuff. If I go, I am going to compete, but it is quite the spectacle too.

I've heard about that dude. He's pretty impressive but "one-armed" is not really an accurate description . . . more like one-handed.

BOL. I've heard a lot of people describe him as "one-armed." But I think it's an important distinction, because without that 3/4 arm that he's got he couldn't have done that suplex or locked in that RNC like he did.

Is it just me or does this picture look really weird? WTF is up with his left arm?

Speaking of the 49ers, their game against the Patriots tonight was absolutely insane. I can't believe they dominated the first half of the game only to blow so many opportunities, and then completely lose their 28 point lead in the 4th quarter. Glad they pulled it out, though.
