Phillipou was being taken down by Nick Catone, though that was his first ufc fight. Mcgee was a high school wrestler and he couldn't take Phillipou down. He was shooting from pretty far outside IIRC. He had Phillipou against the cage for a long time and also could not get him down. I think Phil is pretty strong. His hands are also very very good, he was a longtime boxer. I wish I could get some tape on these guys. They were undercard fights so it is somewhat difficult.

Opinions on Raf Oliv vs Yoislando? Yoislando seems to be mostly a striker that is new to MMA. I would think Oliv should want to take this one to the ground, seems like a no brainer to me.

Yoislando's striking looked pretty good to me. His takedown defense didn't look that bad but Meza was able to exploit it because Yoislando was pushing forward so damn hard.

Yves edwards versus Raf Oliv. Edwards knocks oliv out but it was a good fight before that. I give credit to Oliviera for toughness.

I think Yoislandos striking is better than Olivieras but Oliviera has way more experience and his ground game is obv going to be better than Yoislando.
