I wonder if he was just like, "Well, I'm not gonna win, so fuck it." But I'm sure that wasn't the case.

Did he just not think he was going to get tested? Did he think he quit smoking early enough that it would be out of his system?

It just seems totally retarded to me that you would risk having to give back $100,000+ because you want to smoke some weed and watch some Aquateen or whatever.

No kidding. I don't understand it at all. But them, I understand little.

Nick Diaz had to give his up when he popped with Condit I believe. It's usually common practice that when a guy pisses hot for anything the UFC takes back whatever bonuses they gave out.

^ I don't understand these guys. It seems like you should be able to abstain for 6 goddamned weeks.

Pat Healy made a memorable cross-over from Strikeforce at UFC 159. He submitted Jim Miller and won two bonuses to steal the show at the April event. Unfortunately, he also tested positive for marijuana after the fight. His fight result … Continue reading →

And I mentioned american wrestling because it is generally considered to have the best wrestlers in terms of mma. Also a primary grappling form compared to other countries who emphasize jiu jitsu, judo, sambo, etc.

He has, but it has been a while. Van Arsdale, Hendo, Tito. Not sure how being American helps them though...

I am not saying I favor Wand, but I don't see it as a foregone conclusion that Chael will be able to do his thing either.

Probably not. But Chael isn't going to finish him... and name a time in Wanderlei's entire career where he lost to top control. I mean, Chael was close with Bisping, I don't think Bisping is better than Wand, even old Wand. He miht be more difficult to take down, but he definitely doesn't have the power or the defensive grappling that Wand has.

I think Wand would have a great chance. I would bet him.

Yes, it will probably be a takedown clinic. But Wand has shown that he can still hit someone just right and rattle their brain.
