I'll be laying ~5 units on Healy.

Yesh ive been thinking about it some more and chael could barely outwrestle bisping. Jones should trounce him. What do you guys think of the fight going the distance?

Also. Yancy medieros. Snyone know anything about this guy? Hes been out three years and this is his dbut at welterweight. His opponent is a greg jackson fighter, former sambo champ and his 15 and 1. One of the greg jackson coaches said he is one of the best wrestlers he has ever seen.

Also, i think i will be taking miller. Healy is alrightt but miller really is a good in all areas. Good wrestling, grappling, cardio, chin, and his striki is decent.

I think Sonnen has less of a chance against Jones than Vitor did, and probably less of a chance than Bonnar did against Anderson. If I had to bet one side of the Sonnen / Jones line straight up, I'd pick Jones.

Chael will probably get his ass kicked. I would like to see him win though.

All I'll say this: Chael Sonnen as a UFC champion would be a glorious thing.

I understand you are not favoring him or anything, I just don't see a legit path to victory for him. He did control Anderson for 4.7 rounds, but Jones has never been taken down, ever. So it is like the one thing Chael can do... he can't do. Or maybe Chael is just that good and he is going to be able to take Jones down, not just once, but repeatedly, despite being the smaller man for the first time in about 5 years.

Really? How? I could see his cardio holding up a lot better than Jones' and maybe if he somehow survives the first 3, he could get some takedowns late... but I doubt it. Then even if he did, what is going to do? He has no finishing ability, he would have to run a takedown clinic on a bigger, better, wrestler for 3 rounds.

Add in the fact that submissions are generally considered chaels weakness and chaels chin is pretty damn solid. If jones rocks him he will probably try to go for the submission. On top of that chael is going to have to go for the takedown pretty relentlessly throughout this fight. He will be constantly throwing his neck on the dangerzone.

All that said, i am actually starting to think chael has a decent shot at winning his.

[edit: checking up the thread, I see Edman weighed in on this already.]
I like it a lot. Jones is either going to finish Chael with a choke or fracture his face... and I think each is as likely as the other. So + odds, sounds good to me.

Maybe I am over estimating Phil's standup. I think his stand up is decent, and he is pretty long. I wouldn't bet Phil because I dpn't like betting favorites where the dog has a clear path to victory, but I just don't think Vinny has the goods.
