I think Phil wins pretty easily standing. Phil throws kicks. Unless he for some silly reason decides to grapple, he should win easy IMO.

But Vinny is just fucking terrible at the striking game.

Davis has terrible hand speed when it comes to striking. Even his jabs are slow as shit.

Is phil really that great a boxer? Vinny will be able to throw kicks. Phil might not.

I think he meant he just won't physically touch him. Probably because he is black

I was just looking over records and I think I will take bisping by decison in this one.

Edman..Perez is out. Caraway is in.

I am actually feeling the overs/unders on this card.

    Over 1.5 in Jones/Sonnen
    Over 1.5 in Nelson/Kongo
    Over 1.5 in Garcia/McKenzie
    Over 2.5 in Catone/Head
I like over 1.5 in jones/chael. I read an article about Chael weighing almost 240 for this one before his weight cut. He will be big. Depending on the odds that is nice.

The rest are tough. Head is not a bad finisher but I Guess Catone is tough. 2.5 rounds is a long time though....

Nelson Kongo looks decent depending on odds.

Garcia Mckenie is ok. Usually the sub is more potent early on when they aren't sweaty. Garcia brings it on standing too. Come to think of it this one seems risky without plus odds. I wouldnt bet that one.

I won't be surprised with Jones by decision but I will play Jones by sub

If I have said anything about Jim Miller in the past, it's that his wrestling is very overrated, especially is defensive wrestling. In fact, his defensive wrestling is not that great imo, it reminds me of Rick Story. If Healy is having one of those off nights where he can't get the TD at all, he will be very outmatched imo. I played the fight going the distance at -190.
Good call on going the distance.

I'm not touching Phil Davis. Jone by submission at plus +140 is a sweet line. Chael is tough as hell to tko and Jones likes the sub. Well it is sweet as hell for a guy that is -1000. Sonnen by decison at plus 1100 is nice too. I think he juicied to the gills for this fight. He could conveivable outwrestle Jones for five rounds. I can't wait to see the fight. I would bet him by decision but I did that in the first A silva fight and he lost it at the end preventing me from getting a couple grand. That will probabl happen here.

I will say he almost went the distance with Belfort and QJ. Rashad took him there. He isn't invincible. Chael sonnens only likely path to victory is by decision which is at +1200. Pretty damn good odds.

What do you guys think about James Head and Nick Catone? I wonder if Catone can take him down. Head is pretty good on the feet IMO. Probably better than Catone. He is also a good grappler but Catone is the better straight wrestler. He might be able to take head down enough to win the fight.

I think I can remember Holobaugh versus Healy. Holobaugh looked really good in the beginning with his strikes. He had some real pep in his punches and seemed to have really good movement. Healy got him down a good bit though. I have a theory here. Siler has some good reach but not a lot of power in his punches. I figure Siler might have trouble taking Holobaugh down during this fight. Holobaug was taken down a lot by healy but never submitted. Healy is a strong stocky guy who is a talented wrestler. If siler cant get him down and has to stand with him I think he could be at a disadvantage. He could conceivably get him down or get dropped and end up in guard and work for the sub. Holobaugh is +110 to +120 right now. Maybe if he improves he could be worth it.

It is probably well worth it to rewatch both their fights.

Perez/Bedford. After reading I kinda like Perez but I don't know much about either one of them.

Khabilov seems like a beast. I read an interview with Winkeljohn and he said Khabilov was one of the best wrestler he has seen but he lacked the finishing ability and Greg Jackson was working on his ground and pound. Medieros has been out since something like 2010. Waiting to weigh ins to see how Medieros does might be worth it. If he misses weight bet Khabilov.

Gian villante/St preux. I have no idea here to be honest. I know Villant is a college wrestler.

Bisping/Blecher. This one is super tough to call. I see it going at least into the second or third round barring something crazy happening. Bisping is a conservative fighet whoe defends well though Belcher packs some power. They are both pretty good. I think this one will be really close. Belcher is the dog so we might be able to get him with +3.5 points which could hold some value.

Yeah it is poetic justice and I gelt the same thing when they announced the decision. I also felt pissed because I had money on him. Fuck Poetic Justice.
