I don't like Silva either, but he is the GOAT, it is hard to even argue that. As you mentioned, even in Sonnen II, I think Silva was -250 or worse. No way is Weidman going to be a favorite, nor should he be. Yeah he looked great against Munoz, and he does have the style to beat Silva (so did Maia, Sonnen, Okami, and Hendo), but you just can't favor anyone over Silva.

If he keeps going long enough he'll have to lose eventually, but is that time now? And is Weidman the guy? I don't really think so.

Oh, I'm definitely not saying the fight shouldn't happen. I agree that Weidman is probably the #1 contender now and I'd be curious to see it. I do think it's POSSIBLE that Weidman could win.

I didnt see much of that fight but munoz has been taken down by a lot of guys. Leben got him down a couple times. Munoz was injured in that fight as well. Okami more or less outwrestled munoz. Look what happen to him.
