There are a lot fewer boxing PPV's each year. UFC has greatly increased the volume of shows over the past two years. I bet if you took the peak UFC years when Brock was out there getting 1.5 million buys and added up total PPV sales for the year and compared it to total ppv buys for 2013 you would see close numbers. Then throw in the fact that the ufc is getting 90 million a year from FOX and expanding worldwide and I think it would be fair to say the UFC is on the up swing overall. I read that something like 50 million people tuned in for one UFC in brazil alone. The UFC is growing at a crazy rate IMO.1 unit = 300 $Comment

Would be cool if they paid their fighters with some of that money.Comment

Now if you want to talk about overall money the UFC probably does more thanks to merchandising , TUF, etc. Boxing does very little , if any ,merchandising.
My point is people just sound idiotic when they say "boxing is dead." (not saying you say that, edmann) That's like saying soccer is dead because you dont watch it . Any sport that the top two athletes make 40-50 million per fight is doing fine2015 MMA BETTING CHAMP

It would be but its never going to change as long as they fight for the UFC. Like you said, Mayweather makes 50 million and Anderson makes a couple million per fight .....which is bs. UFC fighters need to leave the UFC and put on cards like boxing does.....on their own....if they ever want to make big money. GSP-Silva could easily make them 25 million a piece if it wasnt under the UFC bannerLast edited by Luke; 06-28-2013, 04:08 PM.2015 MMA BETTING CHAMP
