^bol. people are nuts. My favorite is when the people have their eyes closed so they don't know they are supposed to fall over.
I do wonder about the psychology behind some of that stuff.2012: +19.33

Yeah, no shit.
What I want to know is how many of those people are just following along and know its bullshit and how many of them actually believe they are possessed by the spirit of God. Furthermore, how did practices like that even get started? Hitting a motherfucker with your coat so that they'll fall down? How did that kind of thing even get associated with Christianity or proper Christian worship?I heart cockComment

^^ I wonder if the preacher has even an iota of belief that anything is happening or if it 100% bs to him. Seems like they would have to believe it on some level to even pull that off.2012: +19.33

For sure, but I doubt they start out as con men thinking "you know what would be an easy scam? become a highly skilled charismatic professional speaker and get 1000's of people to follow me and then rip them off for donations while I hit them with my coat and hope they fall over." I just wonder how it happens.
Just saying, if it is a con, it seems like a very difficult path to take. I have to think that somewhere along the line, they believed it, and then they somehow got sucked into the con.2012: +19.33
