For sure, but I doubt they start out as con men thinking "you know what would be an easy scam? become a highly skilled charismatic professional speaker and get 1000's of people to follow me and then rip them off for donations while I hit them with my coat and hope they fall over." I just wonder how it happens.

Just saying, if it is a con, it seems like a very difficult path to take. I have to think that somewhere along the line, they believed it, and then they somehow got sucked into the con.

Yeah. I just don't know. I really don't understand the psychology of it at all. I mean, when I was a Christian I had some very emotional experiences where I was reduced to tears and, at least subjectively, felt the "touch of God." But I can't imagine how people who normally just go through lives as fairly normal, functioning people get themselves into the kinds of states seen in that video. And like I said before, I don't get how these sorts of practices ever even became part of Christian worship.

Yeah, I really don't know. I would say theyre stupid, but that's not it. It is doctors and businessmen and everything else, people more intelligent than me. I guess some people are just more prone to emotional manipulation that others, regardless of intelligence. In a similar vein, you ever see these people get hypnotized on stage? I had a friend that went to a comedy show and got "hypnotized" and was doing all sorts of stupid shit. He said he was aware that he was doing it, but just did it out of compulsion. He isn't stupid, I guess just more prone to manipulation than me.

That was a pretty damn good fight. Lots of back and forth. A lot of refs would have stopped it when Eddie dropped in the first. I'm also surprised Chandler survived in the third.

Not sure who wins a rematch. I guess I lean Chandler if for no other reasons than a) he won the first fight, and b) he has been more active (and dominant in the process).
